The Payment Networks Technology Switching Solutions team is seeking a team member with experience driving large cross-functional strategic initiatives supporting Market and Internal facing programs. In this role the Switching Solutions TPM will be engaging with product and development teams from packaging to production deployment and will act as the single accountable person driving delivery of each project. Job Description Summary Overview • Lead a global team of individual contributors who are conceptualizing, rationalizing, and driving multiple simultaneous projects to deliver engineering work. • Drive overall strategy and teams inside and outside of your organization to deliver the expected results • Develop and communicate a vision that supports the broader departmental and organizational vision • Deep understanding of the platform, the integration patterns, the organizational capabilities, and the company wide assets that can be leveraged to provide technical solutions to customer problems • Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators on the organization’s score card and move them in a positive direction • Stay on top of tactical execution rigorously inspecting the delivery plans and execution metrics of your TPMs • Adapt to shifting goals and activities while managing multiple activities in parallel • Build and cultivate strong internal relationships • Manage escalations • Actively encourage the development of your technical staff • Learning performance improvement management and holds team members accountable for performance Role • Responsible for planning, execution, and delivery, from inception to completion, across multiple technology products or programs • Proactively manages the end-to-end delivery of engineering work though engineering teams and all dependent organizations • Operates between teams and architectures overseeing the gaps between teams, processes, and systems, while removing all blocking issues leading to a successful delivery • Lead, coach, and develop a team of TPMs. • Conduct performance reviews, career development discussions, and succession planning. • Drive employee engagement and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture. • Mentor TPMs on program management, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills. • Build leadership capabilities within the TPM organization and develop future TPM leaders • Govern a portfolio of programs and projects, ensuring delivery commitments are met. • Establish and maintain portfolio-level governance processes. • Monitor project health, risks, dependencies, milestones, and resource allocations. • Ensure consistent execution methodologies, reporting standards, and operational rigor. • Provide visibility into overall portfolio status and outcomes • Serve as the primary escalation point for critical delivery issues. • Communicate portfolio status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership. • Build strong partnerships with Product, Engineering, Operations, Architecture, Security, and Business teams. • Facilitate executive reviews, governance forums, and strategic decision-making discussions. • Ensure stakeholders receive timely, transparent, and actionable communications • Establish effective operating rhythms, governance routines, and performance metrics. • Drive standardization of project management practices, tools, and reporting. • Lead process improvement initiatives that increase delivery predictability and efficiency. • Promote automation, AI adoption, and productivity improvements where appropriate. • Plan, execute, and deliver projects from inception to completion related to a known technology, product, or program • Proactively manage the end-to-end delivery of engineering work through the organization and all dependent organizations, reporting out progress, ensuring dependencies are covered, overseeing the gaps between teams, processes, and systems, while removing all blocking issues leading to a successful delivery • Facilitate Planning Increment (PI) sessions across multiple engineering teams to define plans for upcoming releases • Collaborate with engineering teams and have the technical credibility to drive constructive discussions with the engineering teams (you may be embedded within the scrum team or your work may be cross-cutting across products, multiple scrum teams, and/or technology • Collaborate with engineering managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set priorities and establish delivery milestones. • Have good working relationships with engineers, managers, and peers Corporate Security Responsibility All activities involving access to Mastercard assets, information, and networks comes with an inherent risk to the organization and, therefore, it is expected that every person working for, or on behalf of, Mastercard is responsible for information security and must: Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices; Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed; Report any suspected information security violation or breach, and Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.
