Job Title Internship - AI-Powered Digital Daily Management for Quality Operations Job Description Start date: November (however we are flexible) Location: Best Full time Job title: Internship Assignment: AI-Powered Digital Daily Management for Quality Operations About the Team You will be part of Factory Best, one of the largest manufacturing sites within Philips Health Systems. The Incoming Inspection Team is responsible for incoming material inspection, supplier documentation verification, EU MDR compliance checks, and final Device History Record (DHR) review activities supporting multiple factories on campus. Operational data is currently distributed across SAP, SharePoint, and various reporting sources. Your role: The team is looking for an enthusiastic intern to support the digital transformation of Quality Operations through advanced data analytics, Power BI, and AI-enabled insights. The objective of this internship is to create a live digital daily management system that provides real-time visibility of team performance, workload, capacity, quality risks, and operational bottlenecks. The solution will support data-driven decision making and continuous improvement within Incoming Inspection and DHR review activities. Your Responsibilities Analyze existing operational data sources including SAP, SharePoint and quality reporting systems. Identify and define relevant business KPIs, including leading indicators, lagging indicators, quality metrics and capacity indicators. Design and develop integrated Power BI dashboards for operational and management reporting. Create automated data flows and reporting structures to reduce manual KPI reporting efforts. Explore AI-assisted capabilities for trend monitoring, anomaly detection and operational insights. Visualize performance trends, workload distribution, stagnations and process bottlenecks. Work with stakeholders to translate operational needs into dashboard requirements. Develop recommendations for sustainable dashboard governance and future expansion. Present findings and recommendations to quality and operational leadership. During this internship you will gain hands-on experience in: Power BI solution development Industrial data analytics AI applications in manufacturing and quality operations Digital transformation projects Stakeholder management Operational excellence and continuous improvement Medical device manufacturing processes Data-driven decision making You're the right fit if: We are looking for a student who: Is currently studying towards a Bachelor or Masters degree in Data Science, Industrial Engineering & Management, Business IT & Management, Technical Business Administration, Applied Artificial Intelligence or related studies. Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Has affinity with Power BI, AI, data analytics and process improvement. Is able to convert data into actionable business insights. Works independently and in a structured manner. Communicates effectively with different stakeholders. Is fluent in English. This includes: Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on your education level and if you need to relocate to The Netherlands. Part-time internships receive the allowance pro-rata. Housing compensation. Should you need to relocate to near our office, we’ll offer you a monthly allowance of €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. To be eligible, we’ll just ask for the rental contract from your landlord, and your usual home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or 1.5 hours of travel time (for a one way trip). Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net as a monthly allowance. Paid holidays per internship term.
