NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. Today, we are tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing — an era in which our GPUs act as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that understand the world. Doing what has never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. NVIDIA's Silicon Co-Design group is seeking lab Technician who owns end-to-end hardware setup and validation support for assigned chip/silicon programs within the Hardware Validation Farm. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in board bring-up, thermal attachment, and hardware diagnostics, along with the judgment to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware issues with minimal supervision. Technicians in this role carry setups through their full lifecycle — from board receipt through sanity validation and ongoing post-enablement support — and are relied on to preserve technical continuity across program cycles. What you’ll be doing : Full Setup Lifecycle Ownership — Own board receipt, pre-enablement checks, thermal attachment, peripheral bring-up, and sanity validation for assigned programs; provide ongoing post-enablement support. Hardware Diagnostics & Root Cause Analysis — Troubleshoot device-under-test (DUT) failures beyond surface-level symptoms, trace issues to true root cause, and make informed calls on whether a setup is recoverable. Thermal Attachment Expertise — Execute thermal attachment procedures across varying cooler head configurations, applying mechanical adjustments as needed to achieve reliable thermal performance. Independent Program Ownership — Carry assigned chip programs end-to-end with minimal supervision, including issue triage, sanity runs, and full closure documentation (failure analysis summaries and issue/bug filing). Process Improvement — Proactively identify gaps in lab setup, preparation, or validation procedures, and contribute to process improvements that strengthen farm readiness. Lab Safety — Identify and report safety hazards or incidents promptly to prevent hardware damage or injury. Cross-Team Collaboration — Work closely with Farm Engineers, Program Leads, and functional validation teams to align on setup requirements and technical escalations. What we need to see: Diploma/ITI, Associate's degree, or equivalent technical certification in Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field, with 2+ years of hands-on experience in a hardware lab, server/board-level bring-up, or validation environment. Demonstrated experience with thermal solution attachment (heat sinks, cold plates, liquid cooling, or similar) and strong hardware troubleshooting skills with the ability to independently isolate root cause. Experience supporting multiple concurrent hardware or chip validation programs with minimal supervision, including the judgment to triage issues and make sound technical calls independently. Experience authoring closure documentation, failure analysis reports, or formal issue/bug tracking, along with familiarity with lab safety protocols and incident reporting procedures. #LI-Hybrid
