The Functional Safety SW team is responsible for development of the above mentioned products, plus some other products which are not publicly disclosed yet. The demand for the Functional Safety SW is growing together with the trend of the autonomous cars. By joining our Czech team, you will have the opportunity to be part of a high performance and enthusiastic software development team in a friendly and dynamic work environment. You will have the occasion to get in contact with different NXP Automotive teams (solution teams, hardware designers, customers engineers, etc.), give feedback and propose solutions. Functional Safety Functional Safety in Automotive is described by ISO 26262 standard (see e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_26262 ). It is nowadays mandatory for each microcontroller / electronic system in Automotive. Our software solutions implement complex Safety Concept designed for a particular microcontroller where we can fully use our advantage of the microcontroller vendor to choose between HW / SW solution to achieve higher efficiency a flexibility. NXP provides large portfolio of suitable microprocessors and microcontrollers supported with Functional Safety software to be used directly by our customers in their electronic control units. Examples of such software can be Core Self-Test Library ( https://www.nxp.com/scst ) and Safety Software Framework ( https://www.nxp.com/saf ). Your responsibilities: Responsibility for managing multi-site software development teams to deliver high-quality Functional Safety SW products Driving the whole software development cycle according to the quality processes Ensure the communication and information flow inside the team, with internal stakeholders, and with customers Interaction with marketing and customers Support internal and external audits Your team: Our R&D team is split between Roznov p.R. and Brno Cooperating with other SW R&D teams across the world Local SW embedded team consist of 10+ embedded engineers, remote test team with 20+ engineers, international project management We offer a mentoring program for new employees Your profile: University degree in electronics, programming, etc. Experience in software team management Experience in embedded SW project management in a global organization Knowledge of software development lifecycle models Skilled in planning and risk management Ability to work under pressure Effective communication (in English), leadership skills, team player Accuracy, decisiveness, eye for details What Can You Expect? 📝 Contract Type This role is offered as a full‑time position with a permanent contract, providing long‑term stability and room for growth. 📚 Development Opportunities We believe that growing our people is key to growing our business.
