About the role As an Electronics Commodity Manager, you will lead sourcing and category management activities for Electronics Contract Manufacturing partners supporting Carrier’s electronic control boards and PCBA supply base. This role will drive cost competitiveness, supplier performance, supply continuity, and long-term value through strategic supplier relationships and commercial execution. Key Responsibilities As an Electronics Commodity Manager , you'll be responsible for: Develop and execute category strategies for Electronics Contract Manufacturing suppliers aligned with business objectives. Manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance, commercial negotiations, risk mitigation, and executive escalations. Deliver annual productivity targets through sourcing projects, cost reduction initiatives, supplier negotiations, and continuous improvement programs. Lead contract compliance and Carrier Alliance execution with strategic suppliers. Ensure supply continuity, supplier resilience, and mitigation of commercial and operational risks across the electronics supply base. Requirements We are looking for people who are analytical, collaborative, commercially minded, and skilled at building strong supplier relationships. If this is you, get in touch. As a minimum you must have: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, commodity management, procurement, or supply chain. Experience negotiating supplier contracts, prices, and purchasing terms and conditions. Experience with cost analysis, sourcing processes, and cross-functional collaboration. Fluent English communication skills, written and verbal. Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have: Experience within electronics manufacturing, PCBAs, EMS/ECM, or Contract Manufacturing environments. Experience managing strategic suppliers in companies such as Jabil, Flex, Sanmina, Celestica, Foxconn, Benchmark, or Plexus. Knowledge of SAP and advanced Microsoft Office tools.
