Job Details: Job Description: The Role and Impact As a Physical Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in implementing complex structural physical designs for Intel's next-generation Client CPU SoCs, utilizing cutting-edge process technologies in the era of hyper-scale computing. You will contribute to the design and verification of physical layouts, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and power efficiency. Business Group This role is part of Intel's Silicon and Platform Engineering Group (SPE), a global organization focused on delivering world-class silicon technologies that power Intel's products across diverse markets. SPE supports Intel's broader goals by advancing silicon development processes and methodologies, enabling the creation of high-performance, energy-efficient computing solutions. Key Responsibilities - Implement structural physical designs, including synthesis, floor planning, power-grid and clock tree designs, and place-and-route (PnR). - Perform Static Timing Analysis (STA), timing budgeting, and closure, as well as RC-extraction, DFM, and DRC clean-up. - Verify designs through extensive sign-off flows such as functional equivalency verification (FEV), performance verification (PV), signal integrity/noise analysis, and layout design rules verification (LV). - Optimize power and ensure convergence to meet design requirements. - Define structural design methodologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to pioneer innovative design flows. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electronic, Electrical, or Computer Engineering with 0-1 years of hands-on experience in physical design, demonstrated through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training. - OR Master's degree in Electronic, Electrical, or Computer Engineering with no prior professional experience. - Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools for physical design implementation and verification. - Understanding of design concepts such as synthesis, floor planning, and Static Timing Analysis (STA).
