Corporate Actions, Associate 2

The Associate –(Corporate Actions) is responsible for independently processing and accounting for corporate action events across assigned markets and funds. The role requires a strong understanding of voluntary and mandatory corporate actions, accurate interpretation of announcements, timely processing, and strict adherence to risk and control standards. Why this role is important to us: The team you will be joining is a part Custody Corporate Action team What you will be responsible for: As Associate you will: · Independently process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions such as dividends, splits, mergers, rights, tenders, and redemptions in line with market practices and internal guidelines · Interpret corporate action announcements received from vendors, custodians, and issuers and determine the correct processing and accounting treatment · Ensure timely and accurate posting of corporate action events in accounting and Gold Copy systems · Reconcile positions, cash, and entitlements and investigate and resolve breaks within agreed SLAs · Monitor the complete lifecycle of events from announcement through payment and closure · Coordinate with Custody, Fund Accounting, Client Service, and Technology teams to resolve event-related issues · Respond to client and internal queries related to corporate action processing and financial impacts What we value: These skills will help you succeed in this role: · · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills · · High attention to detail with strong risk awareness · · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision · · Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills · · Proficiency in MS Excel and corporate action processing systems Education & Preferred Qualifications: · · Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline · · Two to four years of hands-on experience in Corporate Actions or investment operations · · Strong understanding of end-to-end corporate action processing and global market practices Additional requirements: · Demonstrates ownership and accountability for assigned events and deliverables · Proactively escalates issues and collaborates effectively with stakeholders · Adapts to changing volumes, priorities, and market practices About State Street What we do.
