Key Responsibilities - Develop IP verification plans, test benches, and verification environments to ensure coverage and compliance with CPU microarchitecture specifications. - Execute verification plans and system simulation models to validate designs, analyze power and timing, and identify bugs. - Replicate, root-cause, and debug issues identified in the pre-silicon phase, implementing corrective measures to resolve test failures. - Collaborate closely with CPU architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to enhance verification methodologies and meet functional, performance, and power goals. - Maintain and improve the existing verification infrastructure and processes to adapt to evolving project requirements. - Participate in technical reviews, documenting test plans and driving discussions to ensure alignment with design objectives. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 0-1 years of hands-on experience in verification gained through internships, academic projects, coursework, or training; OR a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with no prior professional experience. - Proficiency in System Verilog and UVM for verification processes. - Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or similar scripting languages. - Basic understanding of CPU architecture and microarchitecture fundamentals. Preferred Qualifications - Familiarity with fault-simulation tools and methodologies. - Knowledge of x86 CPU designs, ASIC, or FPGA design verification. - Experience in debugging microarchitecture issues in a pre-silicon environment. - Effective communication and collaboration skills to thrive in dynamic project environments.
