Are you a Competitive Intelligence or Vaccines professional seeking the next challenge in your career? This may be the perfect role for you. We are seeking a deeply curious, strategic thinker t o join our Globa l Vaccines Competitive Intelligence team . In this role , you will be a key partner to Global Product Strategy (GPS), R&D and Medical teams within GSK’s Global Vaccines organization . You will act as an objective, critical and strategic advisor based on your deep expertise in current and future competitive drivers in the vaccines market. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategy development and investment decisions and deliver insightful and forward-looking analysis and recommendations to help shape competitive GSK brand strategies. The role can be located in the UK (London) or the US (Upper Providence or Philadelphia). Key Responsibilities: Describe the key deliverables to be achieved by the post holder and the ongoing responsibilities of the role Partner – Act as a trusted strategic advisor to GPS, R&D and Medical teams, providing dedicated competitive intelligence support for assigned brand(s) and program(s) on all relevant market and competition areas , bringing objective, independent thinking . Partner with other Vaccines functions and markets as needed to provide broader insight and analysis Analysis – Collect and synthesize internal and external data with expert use of a wide range of information sources to derive proactive, timely and actionable competitive insight . Develop holistic and predictive competitor landscape assessments based on a thorough understanding and analysis of internal and external business issues , using robust CI sources and innovative methodologies as needed Recommendations – Use expertise on current and future competitive drivers in the marketplace to make critical recommendations from your analysis , relating impact on our ability to be competitive and influencing without authority . Proactively propose further areas of analysis relevant to the asset’s life cycle/place in market and that are relevant to our business strategies . Ensure relevant CI analysis and deliverables are integrated into key stage gates of the commercialization process , such as brand planning, forecasting, evidence generation and strategic decision making Rapid Key Event Coverage – Shape and direct coverage of key events relevant for your area , ensuring effective integration, consolidation and rapid communication of analyses and insights . H elp develop systems / process es that can enable fast response to unplanned/ad hoc analysis Congresses - Lead competitive intelligence planning and coverage for key congresses relevant to assigned brand(s) and disease area(s) with input from GSK teams and/or third-party agency . Drive GSK team preparedness, ensure key intelligence questions are developed, align on-site activities as needed and consolidate key insights and disseminate post-congres s CI Capabilities – Working with the Head of Competitive Intelligence, contribute to and help shape evolution of the team to develop best-in-class CI capabilities, and increase the value of CI to GSK Indirect Team – M anage workflow and capabilities of the broader resource structure supporting the CI team . Lead and coach these resources on high, focused performance , optimizing the team to deliver maximum value External Research - E ngage third party agencies as appropriate and e nsure all CI research activities are conducted within appropriate GSK code of conduct, compliance and ethical business practices Why you? Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Minimum 7 years’ experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical , strategy consultancy or financial institution Functional e xperience in competitive intelligence , gained either directly within a pharmaceutical company or from within a relevant healthcare CI, investment or consulting environment Strong understanding of the medicine / vaccine development and commercialization process, including activities from preclinical through marketing of a product, and business knowledge of pharma ceutical /vaccine companies and their business practices Excellent ability to condense significant amounts of complex information into sharp, succinct and impactful deliverables Experienced in matrix environment with ability to build strong relationships and drive impact across a range of functions, seniority, and geographical locations Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. - Science Deep understanding of and experience in multiple vaccines indications that can be applied to competitive intelligence Previous experience working in commercial functions in a pharmaceutical company (global/regional, marketing, sales, etc ) Proven ability to challenge, influence and support senior stakeholders #LI-GSK Skills Customer Insights, Data to Insights, Digital Fluency, Influencing Without Authority, Market Knowledge, Scientific Literacy Please visit GSK US Benefits Summary to learn more about the comprehensive benefits program GSK offers US employees.
