Évaluer les risques et les opportunités et recommander des solutions favorisant la sécurité, la qualité et la maîtrise des coûts. Soutenir les équipes de chantier, d’installation et de mise en service dans la résolution d’enjeux techniques. Évaluer les équipements et infrastructures existants dans le cadre de projets de modernisation et d’agrandissement. The Opportunity Join Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration business and play a key role in delivering critical electrical infrastructure that supports reliable, safe, and efficient power systems. As a Project Lead Engineer, you will provide technical direction for complex HV/MV substation projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from proposal development and engineering design through construction and commissioning. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you will help solve technical challenges, coordinate engineering activities, and support the delivery of solutions that meet customer requirements, industry standards, and Canadian regulatory expectations. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to brownfield modernization projects, grid expansion initiatives, and new substation developments. Your work will have a direct impact on power system reliability, asset performance, and the successful delivery of major projects across Canada and internationally. How You'll Make an Impact Lead engineering activities during proposal, design, construction, and commissioning phases of HV/MV substation projects. Develop system designs including single-line diagrams, layouts, grounding systems, and bills of materials. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities to support successful project execution. Review and validate subcontractor proposals to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with project requirements. Assess project risks and opportunities and recommend solutions that improve safety, quality, and cost performance. Support site, installation, and commissioning teams by resolving engineering and technical issues. Evaluate existing equipment and infrastructure for modernization and brownfield project requirements. Your Background Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation in Canada. Minimum of 8 years of HV/MV substation engineering experience. EPC project experience is considered an asset. Solid knowledge of HV substation equipment and design calculations. Experience developing single-line diagrams, grounding systems, and substation layouts.
