We are looking for a Bid Manager Team Lead to join our Grid Automation business at Hitachi Energy. In this role, you will combine strategic bid leadership with people leadership, guiding a team of Bids & Proposals experts, sales support and cross-functional experts through the entire tendering process, from early pursuit activities to contract signing and handover to execution. As a leader, you will play a key role in developing a high-performing team, driving continuous improvement, and creating the conditions for successful collaboration across our global organization. Together with your team, you will shape competitive bid strategies and ensure that Hitachi Energy's value proposition is presented to customers in a clear, compelling, and professional way. Your location will be Västerås, Sweden. How you´ll make an impact Lead, coach, and develop a global team located in Västerås, India and Germany handling the bidding & sales support of a complex portfolio of products and services. Developing team competencies, processes` and tools to perform world class bidding and customer support. Assemble and lead cross-functional bid teams consisting of technical, commercial, legal, tax, insurance, and project execution experts. Drive continuous improvement of bid management processes, tools, governance, and best practices. Act as a Partner to meet our customers` expectations in Service. Ensuring that all Bids & proposals follow relevant guidelines and procedures. Measuring and following up on team`s response and resolution time. Drive a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence within the team. Your background Proven experience in bid management, tendering, project management, sales, or a related commercial role within a technical business environment. You are successful in your ways of networking and collaborating, you find it easy to inspire, motivate and challenge your team members. You have relevant experience within Bids & Proposals and sales support preferably within the utility sector Experience managing complex tenders, EPC projects, or similar business opportunities. You have relevant experience from Risk Reviews, Contract`s Management and advanced business-related questions. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field. Strong commercial mindset combined with the ability to understand technical solutions and customer needs. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels. Experience from Grid Automation, Power Systems, HVDC, Substations, Energy, Automation, or similar industries is highly valued. Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
