Job Title Architect II - DevOps Job Description Job title: Architect II - DevOps Your role: You will be part of a multi-site System/DevOps scrum team across India and the Netherlands within Philips Clinical Platform. The team owns and operates the CI/CD pipeline used to build and test a platform codebase of approximately five million lines of code, with contributions from more than 70 developers on a daily basis. This position extends beyond traditional DevOps responsibilities. We are looking for a candidate with a strong C# foundation who can also contribute to system engineering activities and internal tool development. The role requires strong engineering depth, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to support a large-scale development ecosystem through robust tooling and delivery practices. The pipeline supports continuous integration for multiple Philips teams, making reliability, scalability, and efficiency critical. In this role, you will focus on improving quality, reducing cycle time, increasing developer productivity, and eliminating inefficiencies while maintaining uninterrupted delivery. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and operate the CI/CD pipeline Enable timely sprint releases as well as on-demand platform and maintenance releases Build and maintain engineering tools and utilities to support build, test, release, and developer workflows Contribute from a system engineering perspective to troubleshoot, improve, and evolve the platform delivery environment Collaborate with development teams to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements Support CI/CD modernization and broader continuous improvement initiatives Stay current with GitHub, cloud, and DevOps technologies and apply them effectively in practice Work in an Agile environment within the SAFe framework You're the right fit if: Experience: Preferably 12 years of overall industry experience Hands-on experience with GitHub and Jenkins CICD environments, including migration or modernization of CI/CD workflows Experience with NX build tool , MSBuild and Artifactory Experience with PowerShell scripting Strong C# skills with solid knowledge of OOPS and SOLID principles; application development experience is an added advantage Experience with Black Duck, SonarQube, and other security or code-quality scanning tools integrated into build and release pipelines Experience working in Agile development environments. Skills: Guide the DevOps team in Bengaluru, providing technical direction, day-to-day coordination, and ownership of delivery outcomes Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex CI/CD pipeline failures and bottlenecks Ability to design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure build, test, and release automation Strong engineering capability in C# for internal tool development, automation, and platform support Hands-on working knowledge of Jenkins, Artifactory, Black Duck, and SonarQube in enterprise CI/CD environments Proactive improvement mindset, with a focus on reducing build and release lead time, improving quality, and eliminating waste Ability to identify and apply suitable AI tools and techniques in day-to-day DevOps work to improve CI/CD environments, automation, troubleshooting, and developer productivity Collaborate closely with multiple Scrum teams to identify delivery bottlenecks, drive cross-team CI/CD improvements, and effectively address priorities and requests from senior leadership and management Ability to translate developer and platform needs into practical, scalable, and maintainable CI/CD and tooling improvements Strong sense of ownership, with the ability to balance operational continuity with platform improvements and GitHub migration activities Ability to coach and support engineers in the effective use of CI/CD, Git/GitHub, and DevOps best practices Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and learning new tools and technologies as the platform evolves Education: Bachelor’s degree minimum Soft Skills: Team player with a hands-on, collaborative approach Fluent in English, verbally and in writing Strong drive for quality and continuous improvement Curious and motivated to stay current with relevant technologies How we work together We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations .
