AI Research Engineer/Scientist

Job Details: Job Description: The successful candidate will conduct cutting-edge AI research and engineering at Intel Labs China, collaborating closely with team members to develop efficient algorithmic solutions for accelerating large AI models that power agentic and physical AI systems. The role will focus particularly on pioneering algorithmic innovations that enable the efficient deployment of these models across Intel computing platforms for client, edge, cloud, and data center applications. Qualifications: 1. Ph.D. graduate in AI, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. 2. Strong technical expertise in developing innovative AI algorithms for compressing and accelerating state-of-the-art models that address critical business needs. 3. Hands-on experience with post-training quantization, particularly 4-bit and 1.58-bit quantization of large AI models such as LLMs, VLMs, and VLAs, is highly desirable. 4. Familiarity with a range of AI inference frameworks, such as vLLM, Ollama, and OpenVINO. 5. Proficiency in PyTorch, C/C++, and scripting languages such as Python and Shell. 6. Self-motivation and a strong passion for cutting-edge AI research.
