Senior AI Engineer, Fintech

Niuro is hiring a Senior AI Engineer for a fintech lending company. You will own AI systems that turn messy financial data and documents into trustworthy structured data and automate underwriting, collections and support. Spanish and English required. ## You will - Own AI systems through design, build, deployment, monitoring and improvement. - Turn messy financial data and documents into trustworthy structured data. - Automate underwriting, collections and support workflows, keeping human judgment where it matters. - Decide what needs a model and what needs plain code; keep systems simple. - Measure business impact, investigate failures and keep production reliable and secure. - Work directly with underwriters and other users. ## You bring - Built and operated production software, mostly Python and SQL; still writes code every week. - Builds with LLMs and structured-output tools (Claude, GPT, Gemini, BAML): tool use, evaluation, cost control. - Shipped AI systems used by real users and can show how effectiveness was verified. - Cloud data platforms such as BigQuery, Azure or Databricks. - Measures business outcomes and communicates uncertainty. - Clear spoken and written Spanish and English (C1). Nice to have: NLP, document processing, OCR, entity extraction, retrieval, open banking, payments. Contract: full-time, fully remote, monthly contract in USD.
