Operations Manager — Openbase.ai About Openbase Openbase.ai is an AI platform that helps developers and businesses access and build with multiple AI models through one API. We’re preparing for our next stage of growth and looking for an Operations Manager to organize day-to-day execution, coordinate our team and partners, and report directly to the founder. About the role You will turn business priorities into clear tasks, keep projects moving, and make sure commitments are delivered. You’ll work across product, marketing, customer support, and external partners—identifying problems early and suggesting practical improvements. We’re looking for someone who takes ownership, follows through, and brings recommendations alongside updates. What you’ll do *Manage daily operations: Maintain the task board, assign owners, set deadlines, and follow up on delivery. Coordinate teams and partners: Keep developers, designers, marketers, agencies, and freelancers aligned. Support product delivery: Track improvements and bugs, coordinate testing, and verify that completed work meets requirements. *Oversee marketing execution: Follow up on campaigns, content, SEO, and partnerships, ensuring agreed deliverables are completed. Track business performance: Monitor registrations, activated users, paying customers, API usage, revenue, provider costs, and marketing spend. Report to the founder: Provide concise daily updates and a weekly review of results, blockers, priorities, and decisions needed. Improve how we work: Create simple procedures, introduce useful automations, and recommend ways to improve onboarding, support, and execution. Manage operational issues: Coordinate customer and provider issues with the technical team and follow through until resolved. Track budgets and suppliers: Maintain visibility into software subscriptions, agency costs, invoices, and contract renewals. What we’re looking for * Experience in operations, project management, or business operations at a startup, SaaS company, or technology business. * A strong record of managing several projects and holding people accountable for delivery. * Excellent organization, written communication, and attention to detail. * Confidence working with dashboards, spreadsheets, budgets, and business metrics. * Familiarity with tools such as Asana, Slack, Google Workspace, and AI assistants. * An understanding of AI products and APIs, or the ability to learn quickly. Coding is not required. * Good judgment about what to resolve independently and what to escalate. * Fluent English. **Bonus:** Experience with developer tools, API platforms, usage-based businesses, marketing operations, or workflow automation. What success looks like in your first 90 days * A clear task management system with owners, deadlines, and priorities. * Reliable daily and weekly reporting that gives the founder visibility into the business. * Consistent follow-through across product, marketing, and customer support. * Documented processes for recurring work. * Practical improvements implemented, with results measured. * Less need for the founder to chase updates or coordinate routine tasks.
