GL Accountant

Verisk is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Ledger Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team in Kraków. You will collaborate with finance teams across the US and globally, supporting month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and SOX compliance . This role offers the opportunity to gain broad exposure to corporate accounting operations, work in a global environment, and contribute to process improvement initiatives . Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in General Ledger accounting, Record-to-Report (R2R), Corporate Accounting, or a similar role. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience working with ERP systems; experience with Oracle Fusion is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and data quality Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
