Enterprise Architect

Job Description Role Summary The Enterprise Architect will shape secure, scalable, and commercially practical cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions. This role brings together architecture strategy, enterprise security governance, pre-sales support, and client advisory. The architect will work closely with account teams, CIS delivery leadership, cloud engineers, security specialists, and client stakeholders to modernize technology landscapes and turn complex requirements into workable roadmaps. Key Responsibilities Architecture blueprint and strategy: Design future-ready multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure architectures across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, with a clear focus on scalability, resilience, security, and cost efficiency. Enterprise standards: Define and maintain architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, compliance blueprints, reusable frameworks, and design standards across client and Zensar environments. Emerging technology adoption: Evaluate and introduce relevant capabilities such as FinOps platforms, AI-led infrastructure automation, serverless patterns, edge computing, and cloud-native operations where they create measurable value. Security by design: Embed Zero Trust principles into infrastructure architecture, including IAM design, network segmentation, encryption standards, privileged access controls, and secure landing zones. Regulatory compliance: Ensure architectures are aligned to applicable frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, GDPR, HIPAA, and client-specific security obligations. Threat mitigation and resilience: Architect proactive security postures using cloud-native SIEM/SOAR, automated vulnerability management, disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational resilience practices. Business growth and client advisory: Partner with account teams to identify opportunities across CIS and non-CIS clients, including modernization, migration, DevSecOps, SRE, containerization, and platform engineering opportunities. Pre-sales leadership: Lead technical workshops, contribute to RFP responses, develop solution narratives, create high-level effort estimates, and present architecture recommendations to senior client stakeholders. Technical leadership: Mentor cloud engineers, security specialists, infrastructure teams, and operations leads while strengthening reusable architecture assets and delivery accelerators. Key Qualifications and Skills Cloud platforms: Expert-level working knowledge of at least two major public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Infrastructure as Code: Strong architecture experience with Terraform, Ansible, OpenTofu, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Bicep, or equivalent cloud-native automation tools. DevSecOps integration: Proven experience integrating automated security scanning, SAST/DAST, secrets management, policy-as-code, continuous monitoring, and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines. Legacy modernization: Deep experience guiding enterprises from legacy data center environments to public cloud, hybrid cloud, or modern platform-based operating models. Enterprise security: Strong understanding of Zero Trust, IAM, network security, encryption, threat detection, vulnerability management, DR/BCP, and secure cloud foundations. Executive communication: Ability to translate complex engineering, risk, and security topics into clear business language for senior technology and business stakeholders. Leadership and mentoring: Experience leading, coaching, and upskilling cross-functional teams across cloud engineering, infrastructure, security, operations, and service management. Education and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Equivalent industry experience may be considered for senior architect roles. Any two to three relevant certifications are preferred, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, CCSP, TOGAF 9.x/10, or SAFe Architect certification. Education and Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
