Technical Engineering Manager - Salesforce

Accountabilities:: Lead, hire, develop, and manage globally distributed Salesforce engineering teams, including multiple teams and direct reports. Define and execute long-term strategies and roadmaps for Salesforce CPQ, Billing, and Revenue Cloud implementations. Provide technical leadership across Salesforce architecture, integrations, scalability, performance, security, and product quality. Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Finance, Product, Quality, and UX teams. Establish and improve engineering KPIs, including measures related to quote accuracy, billing automation, platform performance, and operational efficiency. Drive improvements across Salesforce development, testing, deployment, release management, and engineering processes. Conduct managerial and technical interviews and contribute to Salesforce hiring strategies. Coach and mentor engineers, engineering managers, and emerging leaders through regular 1:1s, skip-level meetings, career planning, and development programs. Promote an inclusive team environment that supports collaboration, psychological safety, professional growth, and continuous learning. Identify training and talent-development needs across Salesforce CPQ and Billing teams. Lead research and development initiatives to evaluate new Salesforce capabilities, technologies, features, and integrations. Partner with business stakeholders to design scalable quoting, billing, and revenue recognition processes. Develop resource plans and budget proposals for Salesforce engineering programs. Create dashboards and reports to communicate project progress, engineering performance, and business outcomes. Support onboarding and training for new team members and promote effective Salesforce engineering practices. Represent the engineering organization through relevant Salesforce workshops, conferences, and training opportunities. Requirements: Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Salesforce Engineering Manager, or senior Salesforce technology leader managing distributed engineering teams. Strong hands-on expertise with Salesforce CPQ, Salesforce Billing, and Revenue Cloud . Experience leading multiple engineering teams and managing engineers and/or engineering managers. Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, integrations, scalability, performance, and security. Demonstrated experience hiring, coaching, mentoring, and developing technical talent. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly when addressing complex Salesforce implementation and revenue-process challenges. Ability to evaluate Salesforce data and translate technical insights into practical business and engineering decisions. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with experience collaborating across Sales, Finance, Product, Quality, and UX. Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives while maintaining focus on delivery, quality, and business priorities. Ability to make timely, informed decisions in fast-paced technical environments. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to navigate complex or challenging implementation scenarios. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
