Staff Engineer (Modern Workplace)

Accountabilities: Act as the technical authority for Modern Workplace architecture and enterprise solution design across the Microsoft ecosystem. Define and evolve architecture standards, technology patterns, governance frameworks, technical guardrails, and best practices. Provide strategic and hands-on technical leadership across Microsoft Entra ID, identity governance, Microsoft 365, Intune, End User Computing, Copilot, Power Platform, automation, and related cloud technologies. Lead architecture, solution design, technical governance, and design assurance for complex enterprise transformation programmes. Develop technology roadmaps aligned with organisational priorities, emerging technologies, security requirements, and long-term workplace strategy. Drive initiatives involving Microsoft 365 transformation, tenant consolidation, service migrations, M&A integration, and large-scale workplace modernisation. Establish and maintain secure architecture practices based on Zero Trust, identity, access management, security, privacy, and compliance principles. Guide Microsoft Copilot governance, administration, adoption, and responsible deployment across the workplace environment. Support Power Platform governance, including data loss prevention, environment strategy, and appropriate controls for enterprise adoption. Leverage Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, automation, and related technologies to improve workplace services and operational efficiency. Collaborate with Security, IAM, Architecture, Operations, and other technology teams to manage delivery, dependencies, risks, and technical outcomes. Engage with senior stakeholders and executives, communicating complex technical concepts clearly and influencing strategic technology decisions. Lead through influence within a matrix organisation, mentoring senior engineers and helping establish consistent engineering and architecture practices. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across workplace technology services, architecture, governance, and operational maturity. Requirements Extensive experience in Microsoft Workplace Architecture, Microsoft 365, Identity, Endpoint Management, or related Microsoft Cloud technologies. Proven track record delivering enterprise architecture, governance, and technology transformation programmes. Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, Identity Governance, Access Management, and Microsoft 365 architecture and collaboration services. Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, endpoint management, and End User Computing environments. Deep understanding of Zero Trust, security, compliance, identity, and access management principles. Practical knowledge of Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, automation, and enterprise workplace tooling. Experience developing technology roadmaps, architectural standards, patterns, governance frameworks, and technical guardrails. Experience leading complex technical delivery and transformation programmes within large or globally distributed organisations. Strong executive stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to lead through influence rather than formal authority in a matrix environment. Experience mentoring senior engineers and supporting the development of technical capability. Experience with Microsoft Copilot governance, administration, and adoption is desirable. Experience with Power Platform governance, DLP, and environment strategy is desirable. Familiarity with Microsoft security technologies such as Defender, Purview, and Entra ID Governance is advantageous. Experience with M&A integration, tenant consolidation, or large-scale service migration is beneficial. Experience working within large global organisations and complex enterprise environments is preferred. Relevant Microsoft certifications such as SC-100, SC-300, MS-102, AZ-500, MD-102, or equivalent are desirable. Benefits Remote working opportunity from India.
