Sr. Symitar Systems Analyst

Accountabilities:: Administer, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Symitar production and development environments, including user, computer, and server access. Support Symitar releases, upgrades, service packs, mandates, data purges, scheduled downtime, integrations, data feeds, file transfers, and related Host Services applications. Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot PowerOn programs and PowerFrame Docs solutions, including templates, forms, workflows, configurations, and integrations. Administer and support OpCon environments, automated processing, job scheduling, file transfers, workflows, and third-party integrations, identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve recurring operational activities. Perform SQL-based data analysis using ARCU and/or Databricks for troubleshooting, reporting, reconciliation, research, trend analysis, and operational improvement. Monitor data-load processes, investigate data-quality and system issues, coordinate with infrastructure and application teams, and support upgrades to maintain data reliability and operational continuity. Provide advanced second-level technical support, conduct root-cause analysis, prioritize issues according to impact and urgency, and implement sustainable solutions for complex or recurring problems. Partner with business units to gather requirements, identify process improvements, and lead or support Symitar-related projects, upgrades, hotfixes, compliance initiatives, deployments, and vendor integrations. Provide technical recommendations covering scope, risk, dependencies, testing, implementation, and operational readiness. Support security, access-control, change-management, audit, risk assessment, control testing, regulatory reporting, and document-retention requirements. Serve as a technical subject matter expert across Symitar, PowerOn, PowerFrame Docs, OpCon, OnBase, integrations, automation, and related technologies. Mentor analysts and business partners, promote cross-training and knowledge sharing, maintain technical documentation, and encourage automation and modern development practices. Requirements Minimum of seven years of related information systems, core banking, or financial technology experience, including significant experience with Jack Henry Symitar. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience may be considered. Demonstrated hands-on experience with Symitar, PowerOn, PowerFrame Docs, SQL/ARCU and/or Databricks, OpCon, OnBase, EDS/SDS, integrations, automation, production support, and technical troubleshooting. Experience leading technical projects, upgrades, hotfixes, mandates, compliance-sensitive initiatives, vendor coordination, stakeholder communications, and multiple competing priorities. Relevant certifications or formal training in Symitar/Jack Henry, Hyland OnBase, and Continuous OpCon are preferred or may be required depending on role needs. Programming or scripting experience with technologies such as PowerShell, Python, Java, JavaScript, or comparable languages. Experience in a credit union or financial institution environment, with familiarity with operational, regulatory, and compliance processes. Familiarity with enterprise technologies and platforms such as Salesforce, Boomi Flow, Power BI, ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, cloud migrations, or IT portfolio planning is desirable. Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels. Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and customer-service skills, combined with initiative, adaptability, and self-direction. Ability to quickly learn specialized applications and systems and adapt effectively to changing technologies and business requirements. Proficiency with Windows-based productivity tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, along with solid keyboarding and basic mathematical skills. Ability to mentor others, communicate technical concepts clearly, and promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and participate in meetings and presentations through digital communication platforms. Benefits Fully remote position within the United States. Salary based on qualifications and geographic zone: Zone 1: $102,176–$140,492 annually. Zone 2: $92,980–$127,848 annually. Zone 3: $85,828–$118,013 annually. Zone 4: $81,741–$112,394 annually.
