ServiceNow Change and Release Manager

Accountabilities:: Take end-to-end operational ownership of Change and Release Management processes within ServiceNow, acting as the primary authority for platform governance. Evaluate change requests independently, assess technical and operational risks, and determine the appropriate approval and governance pathways. Review Change Records to ensure they contain the required Computer System Validation evidence and documentation for GxP-regulated environments. Plan, coordinate, and execute complex release schedules across multiple concurrent workstreams, including platform configurations, custom integrations, and vendor-driven updates. Manage dependencies, risks, approvals, and timelines across release activities to support controlled and reliable deployments. Lead Change Advisory Board meetings and facilitate effective decision-making around proposed changes and releases. Represent ServiceNow platform governance in cross-functional forums with internal leads, technical stakeholders, and executive representatives. Enforce ITIL-aligned practices across Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management workflows. Monitor governance processes to minimize production disruption while maintaining compliance and operational stability. Maintain strong documentation and audit readiness across change and release activities. Requirements: 8+ years of total IT or IT service management experience. At least 5 years of direct, hands-on experience leading ServiceNow Change and Release Management, including demonstrated independent ownership. Proven experience managing change controls within validated GxP or similarly regulated IT environments. Strong understanding of audit trails, validation evidence, Computer System Validation, and compliance requirements for regulated technology environments. Deep knowledge of ITIL frameworks, with ITIL v4 certification strongly preferred. Clear understanding of the relationship between Change and Release Management and Incident and Problem Management. Demonstrated ability to independently assess technical change risks and establish appropriate governance and approval pathways. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to operate autonomously without requiring routine operational escalation. Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills. Strong executive presence and confidence leading cross-functional governance discussions and engaging senior stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple concurrent releases and workstreams. Benefits: Fully remote work arrangement. Europe-based contract opportunity.
