Senior Manager, Content Systems & Innovation

Accountabilities: Define and help implement a structured and modular content strategy, including content models, schemas, taxonomy, metadata, tagging, and governance. Lead the development of reusable content structures that can support websites, newsletters, tools, personalized experiences, user journeys, social platforms, multimedia, and future products. Develop structured models for high-value healthcare information, including conditions, treatments, drugs, symptoms, side effects, FAQs, clinical information, and journey-based guidance. Create tools, templates, frameworks, and repeatable workflows that improve content planning, production, structuring, updating, optimization, and distribution. Identify workflow friction, duplication, and inefficiencies and develop scalable solutions to address them. Evaluate and implement technologies that improve content operations, reuse, personalization, quality, and performance. Identify and implement opportunities for AI and automation across content tagging, transformation, updating, optimization, quality control, reuse, and distribution. Design workflows that balance automation with appropriate editorial, clinical, and governance oversight. Test emerging technologies and assess their potential operational and audience value. Partner with Product and Technology to connect structured content with personalization, digital tools, user journeys, and next-best-action experiences. Establish content-system standards, documentation, governance processes, and quality controls. Translate editorial and audience needs into clear system and workflow requirements and help prioritize investments based on audience value, operational impact, scalability, and business opportunity. Establish measurement and feedback loops to assess the effectiveness of new tools, workflows, and content systems. Build organizational understanding of structured content and its role in discovery, personalization, efficiency, and growth. Requirements 7+ years of experience in content strategy, content systems, content operations, digital product, content design, or a related discipline. Hands-on experience developing or operating structured and modular content systems within a modern CMS; experience with Contentful is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of content modeling, taxonomy, metadata, tagging, governance, and reusable content frameworks. Experience creating scalable tools, templates, workflows, and operational frameworks. Demonstrated ability to identify complex content or operational challenges and develop practical, innovative solutions. Experience applying AI, automation, or emerging technologies to content workflows and operations. Strong product mindset, with the ability to connect content systems to audience experiences and measurable business outcomes. Ability to translate editorial, audience, and business needs into functional system requirements. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working with Editorial, Product, Technology, Analytics, Clinical, and other stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving, strategic-thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to connect technical possibilities to practical business needs.
