Senior Engineer, DevOps

Accountabilities: Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions, helping select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for scalable cloud-based solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, estimation, prioritization, and delivery planning. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized environments, and Infrastructure as Code solutions aligned with DevSecOps principles. Deploy and manage microservices and APIs across AWS, with a strong focus on Kubernetes and Amazon EKS. Develop monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization capabilities to improve system observability, resilience, and reliability. Investigate production issues using logs and system telemetry, tracing errors through the technology stack to identify and implement the appropriate fixes. Participate in security reviews, risk assessments, vulnerability management, and remediation activities across applications and cloud infrastructure. Automate operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices to improve deployment efficiency and consistency. Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security controls into development and deployment pipelines and address vulnerabilities proactively. Work independently on complex technical problems while contributing effectively to a collaborative, remote engineering environment. Requirements Demonstrated senior-level experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a closely related discipline. Strong hands-on experience with AWS EKS and Kubernetes , including production-oriented container orchestration. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation . Deep understanding of AWS infrastructure, particularly VPCs, subnetting, security groups, IAM roles, and network configuration. Experience with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, RDS, EventBridge, CloudFront, S3, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and WAF. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, or TypeScript , along with Bash scripting for automation. Experience with Git and GitHub-based development workflows. Strong SRE mindset with the ability to diagnose incidents, analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement durable solutions. Experience with monitoring and operational tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, PagerDuty, or Wiz is preferred. Familiarity with deployment technologies such as AWS CodePipeline or Jenkins is preferred. Understanding of DevSecOps practices, including integrating security into CI/CD pipelines, addressing CVEs, and building secure infrastructure stacks. Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within an Agile, collaborative team. Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder ; sponsorship is not available. Must have maintained U.S. residency for at least the past three years and be able to satisfy the requirements for a position of Public Trust, including completion of a U.S. government background investigation.
