Senior Energy Consultant -- Renewable Engineering Experience

Accountabilities:: Provide technical consulting and advisory services to developers pursuing utility-scale solar, wind, battery energy storage, and other power projects. Perform or support independent engineering and technical due diligence for lenders and investors evaluating power and infrastructure projects. Develop technical, economic, and market studies for utilities, grid operators, research organizations, and other stakeholders. Support utility planning studies, business case development, and strategic advisory engagements for utilities, independent power producers, and government agencies. Contribute technical expertise across renewable energy, battery storage, and utility planning and advisory projects. Interact directly with power project developers, owners, lenders, investors, utilities, and other clients throughout consulting engagements. Lead project planning, coordinate technical activities, and provide guidance to project teams and other professionals. Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals, analyses, and client deliverables. Apply appropriate data, automation, AI, and other digital technologies to improve research, analysis, engineering, and project workflows where relevant. Maintain appropriate professional judgment, review, and accountability when using technology-assisted tools. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or another relevant engineering discipline. 12+ years of professional experience in the power industry. Significant experience with one or more of the following: utility-scale solar, wind, or battery energy storage design; independent engineering and due diligence; power project development; or renewable energy construction management. Experience with project finance or financial modeling for power projects is a plus. Experience supporting owner's engineering activities during power project execution is a plus. Master's degree in engineering or business, such as an MBA, is preferred. Strong understanding of renewable power technologies, project development, engineering, and power-sector planning. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing technical reports and proposals. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and guide project teams. Demonstrated project planning and leadership capabilities. Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting environment with significant client interaction. Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, automation, programming, and digital engineering tools is valued. Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
