Accountabilities:: Lead program operations and manage daily, weekly, and monthly activities to ensure effective delivery of executive correspondence support services. Implement the technical approach, operational work plan, project schedule, and processes required to meet program objectives. Oversee the drafting, editing, and refinement of executive letters, emails, memoranda, briefing materials, and other formal communications responding to congressional committees, Members of Congress, government oversight bodies, media inquiries, and stakeholders. Serve as the primary government point of contact, coordinating communications activities and maintaining alignment with executive priorities. Review, triage, and prioritize incoming correspondence, ensuring urgent and sensitive matters are promptly escalated to executive leadership. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, tracking systems, and reusable templates to improve consistency, accountability, and turnaround times. Enforce departmental communication guidelines and rigorous quality assurance standards, ensuring all deliverables are fact-checked, proofread, accurate, and free of grammatical errors. Produce weekly correspondence logs and monthly performance reports, and establish a comprehensive correspondence template library within the first 60 days. Ensure correspondence, memoranda, and briefing materials are prepared within two business days of request. Verify that all deliverables comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements and applicable federal standards. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. At least four years of experience managing federal communications, executive correspondence, or comparable programs. Expert-level writing, editing, and proofreading skills, including demonstrated command of formal executive and federal correspondence. Proven ability to design and implement standard operating procedures, correspondence tracking systems, and template libraries. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF tools. Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Department of Homeland Security Public Trust background suitability determination. U.S. citizenship. Strong organizational, prioritization, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines and time-sensitive requests. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and quality. Preferred qualifications: Experience supporting the Department of Homeland Security or another federal procurement or acquisition office; project management experience; and experience preparing responses or briefing materials for congressional, Government Accountability Office, or other oversight inquiries. Benefits: Annual salary ranging from $111,055.89 to $121,963.20 , depending on experience, education, and clearance level. Fully remote work arrangement within the United States.
