Senior Backend Engineer - Prompt Security (Node.js / TypeScript)

Accountabilities:: Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript. Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data-storage solutions to support reliable and high-performing applications. Build and integrate RESTful APIs and collaborate with frontend engineers to connect user-facing functionality with backend services. Contribute to microservices architecture and develop backend components designed for scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Optimize system performance through appropriate approaches to caching, message queues, distributed architectures, and other scalability strategies. Implement authentication, authorization, data protection, and other security controls across backend systems. Deploy and manage backend services using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, system troubleshooting, debugging, upgrades, and continuous technical improvement. Stay current with emerging backend technologies, cybersecurity practices, and industry standards and apply relevant developments to engineering work. Requirements 5+ years of professional backend development experience, with strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript . Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend applications and APIs. Strong database management experience, including schema design, query optimization, and data-storage solutions. Hands-on experience designing and developing RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus. Experience designing and implementing microservices architectures. Strong understanding of scalability and performance optimization, including caching strategies, message queues, and large-scale distributed systems. Experience implementing authentication, authorization, data protection, and other backend security mechanisms. Experience working with cloud infrastructure and services, particularly AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities, with a practical approach to resolving complex technical issues. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders. Curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning in rapidly evolving AI and cybersecurity environments.
