Accountabilities: Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes. Maintain and enhance financial models covering revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, cash flow, and scenario planning. Develop forecast assumptions in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Accounting teams. Lead variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior-year performance, identifying key risks, opportunities, and business drivers. Analyze sales performance by customer, channel, SKU, product line, and region. Partner with Sales to evaluate customer profitability, volume trends, pricing, deductions, trade spend, and promotional return on investment. Support monthly customer and channel performance reviews with clear, actionable financial insights. Improve forecast accuracy by connecting sales projections with demand planning, shipment trends, customer plans, and historical performance. Evaluate the financial implications of new customer opportunities and pricing changes. Monitor gross margin performance across SKUs, customers, and channels. Analyze COGS, freight, warehousing, manufacturing, co-packer, ingredient, packaging, and yield-related variances. Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost drivers and opportunities for margin improvement. Support standard cost updates, cost-saving initiatives, margin bridge analysis, product launches, reformulations, and operational changes. Own departmental expense reporting and forecasting across key functions. Partner with budget owners to monitor spending, investigate variances, update forecasts, and strengthen financial accountability. Support headcount planning, marketing spend analysis, G&A tracking, and fixed-versus-variable cost visibility. Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, dashboards, KPIs, and financial summaries for executive leadership. Support board reporting, investor materials, lender reporting, and strategic financial projects as needed. Translate financial and operational data into practical recommendations for business leaders. Improve FP&A processes, templates, models, reporting tools, and financial storytelling. Partner with Accounting to ensure actuals are accurate, timely, and aligned with reporting requirements. Support the implementation and optimization of planning, ERP, business intelligence, and reporting systems. Help build scalable finance infrastructure capable of supporting continued growth. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline. 6+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, accounting, or business analytics. Professional experience within CPG, food and beverage, manufacturing, or consumer products is required. Strong understanding of P&L management, gross margin, trade spend, COGS, inventory, and operating expenses. Advanced Excel capabilities and strong financial modeling skills. Experience working with ERP, financial planning, business intelligence, and reporting platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, Adaptive, Anaplan, SAP, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable systems. Ability to work with large datasets and transform detailed analysis into clear, business-oriented recommendations. Strong understanding of customer, channel, SKU, and product-level financial analysis. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-finance stakeholders. Strong business judgment, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience in a high-growth or founder-led CPG environment is preferred. Familiarity with retailer-level sales data, syndicated data, trade promotion, deductions, and customer profitability is advantageous. Experience supporting fundraising, board reporting, lender reporting, or investor materials is a plus. Experience with SKU-, customer-, or channel-level forecasting is beneficial. Previous ownership of a monthly forecasting or annual budgeting process is preferred. Ability to balance strategic financial thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment.
