Professional Services Consultant – Data Center & IP Fabric SDN

Accountabilities: Lead requirements-gathering and project-scoping workshops with customers, delivery partners, sales teams, and technical stakeholders. Serve as a technical lead for significant network deployments and migrations, owning professional services milestones from design through implementation and acceptance. Create and maintain high-level and low-level network designs, migration plans, integration documentation, and validation strategies. Apply data center architecture and IP Fabric SDN expertise to help customers deploy and operate scalable, automated network environments. Develop network management strategies and contribute to best practices for design, implementation, migration, testing, validation, and verification. Work closely with customer and internal engineering teams to test, design, and plan deployments of new products and network capabilities. Support networks during the early stages of deployment and assist with operational handover following implementation. Lead technical delivery on larger engagements by coordinating delivery teams and taking overall responsibility for network implementation activities. Provide knowledge-transfer workshops and technical training to customers and delivery partners. Maintain strong relationships with customer technical teams and management while providing a consistent, customer-focused experience. Track, document, and report issues identified during testing, implementation, and migration, ensuring appropriate follow-up and resolution. Follow established professional services delivery processes and collaborate closely with project management throughout engagements. Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline. At least 8 years of experience working in enterprise, telecommunications, content-provider, or service-provider data center environments. Extensive hands-on experience with advanced data center networking technologies, particularly VXLAN, EVPN, MLAG, and IP Fabric architectures. Strong knowledge of IP networking protocols and technologies, including IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, RSVP, LDP, QoS, and IPv6. Experience with data center fabric SDN, network management, orchestration, or automation platforms. Hands-on experience with Linux servers and network services such as DHCP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP, DNS, and NTP. Familiarity with Linux, Python, Git, HTTP/REST APIs, and fundamental data structures and algorithms. Strong network planning, architecture, design, implementation, migration, and troubleshooting capabilities. Excellent consulting, customer-management, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers and technical teams while maintaining a strong customer-first mindset. Strong written and spoken English communication skills. Experience with JUNOS and hands-on knowledge of QFX, EX, and MX Series platforms is desirable. Willingness to travel approximately 10% as required by customer engagements. Experience with network automation and software-defined infrastructure is highly relevant to the role.
