People Business Intelligence Analyst

Accountabilities:: Map and document data flows from HR source systems, including HRIS, ATS, payroll, and engagement survey platforms, into a Redshift data warehouse. Define and maintain field definitions, data lineage, business logic, data dictionaries, and metric glossaries to ensure consistent reporting across teams and dashboards. Build and maintain dashboards using QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms, covering metrics such as headcount, turnover, hiring funnel performance, DEI representation, engagement, compensation equity, and span of control. Write, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries in Redshift to support recurring reporting, ad hoc analysis, and leadership reporting requirements. Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and People leadership to understand business questions and translate them into effective data models, analysis, and visualizations. Ensure sensitive HR information, including personally identifiable information, compensation data, and protected-class information, is handled according to privacy and access-control requirements. Identify and resolve data quality issues at the source or within the data mapping layer, including duplicate records, inconsistent coding structures, and broken joins across systems. Support recurring reporting cycles, including monthly headcount reviews, quarterly board reporting, annual compensation reviews, and ad hoc leadership requests. Requirements 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Visualization, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a comparable discipline. Strong SQL skills with experience writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing queries against cloud data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift. Advanced experience building and maintaining dashboards using Amazon QuickSight, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms. Practical experience with data mapping and ETL concepts, including understanding how data moves from source systems into data lakes and warehouses and how to identify and resolve data issues. 3+ years of experience in People Analytics, Recruiting Analytics, HR data, or another highly regulated and governance-driven data environment is an asset. Exposure to HRIS platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, or BambooHR and ATS platforms such as Greenhouse or Lever is an asset. Familiarity with people metrics frameworks, including SHRM and ANSI HR metrics standards, is an asset. Experience with AWS data technologies such as S3, Glue, Athena, and Redshift is an asset. Basic proficiency in Python or R for data cleaning, automation, and analysis is an asset. Experience with prompt engineering and generative AI or agentic AI solutions is an asset. Willingness to work United States East Coast hours (UTC-4 / UTC-5) is an asset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns in complex datasets and translate findings into practical business insights. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Highly organized, detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable working independently. Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly and maintain a strong focus on data accuracy, privacy, and governance.
