Market Engagement Manager, SheConnects Digital Accelerator

Accountabilities:: Manage and support a portfolio of partners across India and Africa working to increase women's adoption and use of the internet, particularly through greater smartphone ownership and usage. Provide strategic advisory and technical assistance to partner organizations, helping them develop and scale impactful in-country interventions. Manage the effective contracting, coordination, and delivery of technical assistance packages and advisory engagements. Analyze markets, business models, data, and emerging opportunities to identify interventions that can generate both commercial value and social impact. Contribute to the design and delivery of propositions and strategies that address barriers to digital adoption, including smartphone affordability and access. Facilitate strategy workshops and other collaborative sessions with partners and stakeholders to translate insights into actionable plans. Track commercial and social outcomes across partner engagements, ensuring initiatives remain focused on measurable impact and sustainable scale. Develop and communicate market insights, partner learnings, and evidence that can encourage increased awareness and action across the digital inclusion ecosystem. Document findings through presentations, case studies, toolkits, blogs, events, and stakeholder meetings. Facilitate knowledge exchange and learning between partners across different markets and geographies. Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across the private sector, mobile ecosystem, governments, donors, and other relevant organizations. Use evidence, industry insights, and compelling recommendations to influence stakeholders and support sustainable action. Collaborate closely with internal and external teams to ensure effective delivery of multiple workstreams and high-quality outputs. Requirements: Significant commercial experience gained through management consulting, corporate strategy, business planning, marketing, or a related strategic function. Experience working within or alongside the digital, technology, telecommunications, or mobile ecosystem is highly desirable. Familiarity with strategies designed to improve inclusion for underserved populations, particularly women, with an understanding of approaches to smartphone affordability, adoption, and usage. Ability to quickly understand new data, markets, technologies, and business models and identify opportunities that can generate both commercial and social value. Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with the ability to distill complex information into clear insights and practical recommendations. Demonstrated ability to engage confidently with senior executives and other decision-makers across private-sector, government, donor, and ecosystem organizations. Strong influencing and persuasion skills, with the ability to build alignment around evidence-based recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce compelling presentations, reports, case studies, thought leadership, and other knowledge products. Strong project and delivery management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and workstreams while maintaining quality and deadlines. Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities across different sectors, cultures, and geographies. Commercial awareness and understanding of market dynamics, business models, and the factors that influence sustainable adoption of digital products and services. Collaborative and self-aware approach, with a strong ability to work as part of a team, support colleagues, and seek assistance when needed. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced international environment.
