Manager, Corporate Accounting

Accountabilities:: Lead general ledger accounting activities, including preparation, review, and approval of journal entries, account analyses, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations. Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring transactions are accurate, complete, properly documented, and delivered within established deadlines. Supervise, coach, and develop accounting team members by providing direction, technical guidance, performance feedback, workload prioritization, and career development support. Review and investigate complex or escalated reconciliation items, account fluctuations, and discrepancies across accounting records, bank accounts, subledgers, and the general ledger. Prepare and communicate variance analyses, explanations of account fluctuations, and financial reporting information for management and other stakeholders. Ensure accounting activities comply with U.S. GAAP, internal accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation standards. Develop strong knowledge of applicable accounting systems and reporting tools while identifying opportunities to improve reporting, reconciliation processes, close efficiency, and issue resolution. Partner with Payroll, Accounts Payable, Billing, Treasury, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to resolve accounting matters and improve end-to-end financial processes. Support internal and external audits by coordinating information requests, reviewing supporting schedules, and ensuring timely and accurate responses. Lead or participate in special projects, system implementations, reporting enhancements, accounting analyses, and other initiatives that improve the effectiveness of the accounting function. Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial, employee, and organizational information. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close responsibilities. 2+ years of supervisory, team leadership, or people management experience. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles. Public accounting experience and/or experience supporting internal or external audits. Active CPA license. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, SUMIFS, and formula troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop accounting professionals. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet demanding deadlines, and guide a team through time-sensitive close cycles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting concepts and issues to non-accounting stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective relationships across functions and organizational levels. Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify root causes, recommend solutions, and implement practical process improvements. Ability to work with sensitive information while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality. Experience in large, multi-entity and/or multi-currency environments is preferred. Experience working with high-volume data environments is preferred. Experience with Deltek VantagePoint or comparable ERP systems is preferred. Experience with Power BI or other data visualization and reporting platforms is preferred. Benefits Annual salary range of $130,000–$140,000, depending on experience and geographic location.
