Lead Bookkeeper -Global

Accountabilities:: Maintain accurate and timely records of daily financial transactions and the general ledger across multiple legal entities. Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting close activities, ensuring financial records are complete, accurate, and properly documented. Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and key financial and operating metrics. Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies promptly. Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring invoices are processed and paid on time while taking advantage of applicable discounts. Ensure company credit cards, loans, lines of credit, and other debt obligations are paid accurately and within required timelines. Maintain organized digital accounting records and a comprehensive system of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Monitor accounting operations and transaction-processing activities across subsidiary entities. Support the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, including analysis of budget-to-actual variances. Identify significant financial variances and communicate relevant findings and risks to finance leadership. Coordinate year-end reporting and the preparation and compilation of financial statements. Support state sales and use tax reporting and filing requirements. Ensure financial reporting and bookkeeping activities remain aligned with GAAP and applicable accounting standards. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. Stay informed about changes in taxation, accounting regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing professional development. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders while maintaining clear, professional, and timely communication. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant business experience. Minimum 3 years of progressive bookkeeping experience, preferably in a global or multi-entity environment. Experience managing accounting activities across multiple legal entities under a common organizational structure. Hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting and month-end close processes. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, general ledger accounting, budgeting, and forecasting. Practical knowledge of US taxation, including sales and use tax requirements. Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, or comparable accounting platforms. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe, DocuSign, Windows, and other digital productivity tools. Strong understanding of auditing, accounting controls, corporate financing, and financial operations. Ability to prepare and interpret financial reports and investigate accounting discrepancies. Strong organizational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail. Proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and risk identification. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced, changing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with finance teams and business stakeholders. Positive, collaborative attitude and the ability to remain organized and focused when managing competing priorities. Willingness to work EMEA-aligned hours, including a shift of approximately 2 PM to 11 PM when required.
