Accountabilities:: Design compelling products that reflect brand identities, licensed collaborations, and audience expectations while meeting functional and production requirements. Collaborate with creative and cross-functional teams to translate 3D concepts into visually and physically engaging solutions aligned with manufacturing processes and cost targets. Develop and refine product design language across consoles, controllers, electronics, collectibles, and related consumer products. Generate multiple design concepts for assigned projects and develop the strongest directions within established concept and refinement timelines. Prepare concepts for user testing through prototypes, renderings, sketches, illustrations, and 3D models. Develop durable, manufacturable products by identifying and helping resolve design, engineering, material, and assembly challenges before production handoff. Contribute to research and development involving new materials, 3D rendering techniques, prototyping methods, and production processes. Provide creative feedback and production support while collaborating with vendors and internal teams to maintain project momentum. Communicate design strategies, creative processes, and product concepts clearly to internal stakeholders, including design and executive teams. Participate in design critiques, planning sessions, and concept development meetings to improve product and customer experiences. Monitor social, industry, technology, pop culture, and consumer trends that can influence future product development. Manage multiple design projects and deliverables, meeting agreed timelines and incorporating cross-functional feedback throughout each development phase. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Toy Design, or a related field. 5–7 years of experience as a product designer, preferably within entertainment, licensing, creative agency, consumer products, or pop culture environments. 1–3 years of consumer product development experience. Strong portfolio demonstrating creative skills across concept generation, design development, visualization, prototyping, and final product development. Excellent sketching, ideation, design methodology, and concept development capabilities. Strong hand-sketching and digital 2D/3D visualization and rendering skills. Hands-on experience with prototyping, mock-ups, modeling, materials, and manufacturing processes. Strong knowledge of 2D, 3D, and rendering tools such as Rhino 3D, AutoCAD, Sketchbook, KeyShot, Photoshop, Illustrator, SolidWorks, Cinema 4D, and Blender; Maya is a plus. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including plastic injection molding, metal die casting, and stamping, as well as design for manufacturing principles. Strong understanding of plastics, materials, production methods, and hands-on prototyping techniques. Familiarity with defining and implementing colors, materials, and finishes is a plus. Interest in consumer electronics, gaming, pop culture trends, fandoms, and licensing. Strong creative and analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of projects while working effectively with guidance and cross-functional teams. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
