Forward Deployed Strategist

Accountabilities:: Embed with enterprise customers as a strategic partner, operating as an extension of their teams from contract signature through measurable business impact. Lead discovery efforts to understand organizational structures, business challenges, stakeholder priorities, and opportunities for AI adoption. Act as the product manager for customer AI initiatives by identifying high-value use cases, defining success metrics, and establishing practical implementation plans. Translate customer requests into clear, prioritized requirements for engineering teams while providing the underlying business context. Distinguish between what customers initially request and the underlying problems they need to solve. Develop and manage project plans covering timelines, dependencies, risks, milestones, and stakeholder responsibilities. Keep executives and other key stakeholders aligned through concise updates, executive summaries, presentations, roadmaps, and strategic recommendations. Facilitate workshops, office hours, and hands-on sessions that help non-technical teams understand and build practical AI workflows. Teach teams how to determine which tasks to delegate to AI, break complex work into agent-compatible steps, and evaluate when AI outputs can be trusted. Develop enablement materials, curricula, guides, and playbooks tailored to different teams and levels of technical expertise. Monitor adoption, usage, and outcomes while identifying and addressing blockers that could prevent deployments from reaching production. Turn successful initial use cases into broader organizational rollouts and additional opportunities. Identify opportunities for account expansion and additional scope based on demonstrated customer value. Capture field insights and translate them into actionable feedback for partner product teams and internal deployment methodologies. Collaborate closely with engineering, data, product, and customer stakeholders to ensure solutions are technically feasible and aligned with business objectives. Requirements: 3+ years of experience in client-facing consulting, strategy, product management, or project management, with a track record of owning projects end to end. Consulting experience with a technical, data, or AI focus at an MBB, Big Four, or equivalent organization is preferred. Experience working in a forward-deployed role or at an AI-focused startup is highly valuable. Strong hands-on experience using LLMs, AI agents, and AI workflow tools in professional settings, with a practical understanding of their capabilities and limitations. Excellent ability to explain complex AI concepts to executives, non-technical users, and engineering teams. Strong structured-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify the underlying problem behind ambiguous requests and competing stakeholder priorities. Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at different organizational levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience creating executive presentations, strategic documents, roadmaps, and project plans. Technical fluency and experience collaborating closely with software engineering or data teams; coding is not required. Ability to understand software, integrations, and data concepts well enough to ask effective technical questions and translate between business and engineering teams. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and multiple stakeholders. Comfortable operating in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments without requiring a highly structured playbook. Self-directed, adaptable, curious, and comfortable taking ownership of first-of-a-kind challenges. Ability to work effectively across different industries, technologies, customer environments, and project types. Experience with account expansion or identifying additional customer opportunities is an advantage. Ability to read code or build simple prototypes, automations, or integrations is a plus. Previous experience deploying enterprise AI products such as assistants, agent builders, enterprise search, or copilots at scale is a plus. Professional experience with tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Glean, or similar AI platforms is an advantage. Product management experience within a software company is a plus. Background in enablement, instructional design, or change management for large and diverse audiences is valuable. Familiarity with advanced AI concepts such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), and agent orchestration is beneficial.
