Energy Operations Analyst

Accountabilities:: Coordinate with utilities and energy suppliers to verify contract terms, rates, billing information, and related documentation. Provide responsive, high-volume customer service for contract, billing, utility, and energy-related inquiries through email, phone, and internal requests. Manage the complete lifecycle of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), from initiation and preparation through post-award follow-up, in support of sales activities. Review and analyze utility invoices, supplier invoices, and contracts to identify and extract information needed for procurement analysis, RFP preparation, and sales support. Accurately process large volumes of documentation, including lengthy invoice packages that may require detailed manual review. Build, maintain, and update internal and client-facing reporting tools while following established processes and quality standards. Coordinate the end-to-end contract assumption process, ensuring documentation, data, and execution are accurate and completed within required timelines. Identify discrepancies or issues proactively, communicate findings to relevant stakeholders, and follow assigned tasks through to completion. Collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to support client needs and maintain efficient procurement workflows. Requirements 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in operations, energy, multifamily, or a related field. 2+ years of non-ERCOT retail energy experience is strongly preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with detailed operational and financial information. Experience with CRM systems is preferred but not required. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability, with the ability to review large volumes of information and identify discrepancies. Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and make sound decisions with limited supervision. Highly organized with strong time-management and prioritization skills, including the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a high-volume environment. Proactive, self-directed approach with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through. Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to shift priorities quickly in response to changing business needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across sales, operations, clients, utilities, and suppliers. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative, fast-paced remote environment.
