Job Title: Collection Manager About the Team: The Collections team is responsible for managing overdue accounts, driving recovery performance, monitoring collection teams and agencies, and ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory guidelines and internal policies. About the Role: The Collection Manager will be responsible for managing collection operations across the assigned territory, leading a team of collection executives, driving collection targets, and ensuring effective portfolio management. The role requires strong team leadership, field execution, performance monitoring, and stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities: • Drive and achieve collection targets for the assigned territory and portfolio. • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of collection executives and field officers to achieve business targets. • Monitor team productivity, performance, attendance, and daily collection activities. • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to improve recovery rates and control delinquency. • Review daily and monthly collection MIS and take corrective actions to improve team performance. • Monitor collection agencies and ensure adherence to defined processes and performance benchmarks. • Manage escalations related to overdue accounts, customer concerns, and field collection activities. • Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and the Code of Conduct. • Identify operational gaps, fraudulent practices, and risks within the collection process and take appropriate corrective action. • Conduct regular field visits to monitor collection activities and team performance. • Work closely with business, credit, risk, operations, and other stakeholders to resolve collection-related issues. • Drive capability building, coaching, and continuous improvement within the collection team. Skills and Competencies: • Strong experience in collections and recovery management. • Proven experience in team handling and managing field collection teams. • Strong target orientation with the ability to drive team performance. • Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Good understanding of collection processes, delinquency management, and agency management. • Ability to manage escalations and work effectively in a high-performance environment. • Proficiency in MS Excel, collection MIS, and reporting systems. Education and Experience: • Education: Graduate in any discipline. • Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in collections and recovery management. • Prior experience in team handling, preferably in banking, NBFC, fintech, or financial services, will be preferred. • Candidates with experience managing field collection teams and collection agencies will be an added advantage. Compensation: Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, expertise, and suitability for the role.
