Claims Creation Specialist

Accountabilities:: Triage incoming claims and ensure new claims are accurately set up on a daily basis. Complete timely claim setup for multiple insurers and branches across Canada while following established operational guidelines. Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers and coordinate with other departments to address client needs. Perform data integrity activities, including daily opened-claim reporting, SLA reviews, and catastrophe-related data checks. Operate RPA processes and collaborate with IT to ensure automated workflows and related system components are functioning properly. Participate in cross-training with the IMS team and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization. Assist with training new hires and other internal customers on relevant processes and systems. Support miscellaneous operational projects and take on additional responsibilities as required. Requirements At least 1 year of experience in an administrative, operational, or support role. Previous experience or exposure to the insurance industry is preferred. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn new software, databases, and technology-enabled processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving abilities and a practical, creative approach to overcoming operational barriers. Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to learn in a changing environment. Ability to manage direction from multiple sources, balance competing priorities, and remain effective when priorities conflict.
