Civil Engineer

Accountabilities:: Develop civil engineering calculations, specifications, plans, and three-dimensional site designs using AutoCAD Civil 3D for land development projects. Apply applicable civil engineering codes, standards, and best practices to grading, drainage, utility, and site design activities. Contribute to water and wastewater design as part of broader civil engineering and land development project scopes. Take projects from initial conception through final design with limited oversight from senior engineers. Analyze design requirements and develop practical, technically sound engineering solutions that meet project objectives. Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to coordinate civil engineering deliverables and integrate land development solutions with other project disciplines. Build and maintain trusted client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, communicating technical information and project needs effectively. Prepare clear, accurate technical documentation, specifications, calculations, and other materials supporting project delivery. Apply and expand knowledge of civil engineering standards and systems while contributing to consistent, high-quality project outcomes. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. At least 8 years of professional civil engineering experience. Current Professional Engineer (PE) license with an active NCEES record/license. Demonstrated experience in land development as well as water and wastewater design. Expert-level proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Proficiency with WaterCAD or equivalent water modeling software, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, ArcGIS, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office, including Teams. Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles, codes, standards, grading, drainage, utilities, and site development. Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams. Ability to independently manage design assignments, solve technical problems, and advance projects with limited senior-level oversight. Strong collaboration, organization, attention to detail, and project delivery skills. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; work visa sponsorship is not available. Ability to meet the physical requirements of a primarily office-based role, which may include occasional bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching.
