Adjunct Faculty - Online Counseling Program

Accountabilities: Review course content, activities, assignments, and instructional materials before each academic term and ensure they are ready for delivery. Deliver online course instruction in accordance with established program guidelines, academic expectations, and course requirements. Maintain regular and effective communication with faculty, staff, and students through email, telephone, and other appropriate communication channels. Provide students with timely, specific, and constructive feedback on coursework and academic progress. Grade assignments and examinations within the expected 2–3 business-day timeframe and according to established instructions and rubrics. Respond to student questions and requests within 1–2 business days and maintain an accessible, supportive online learning environment. Monitor discussion boards and participate in course discussions as appropriate to promote engagement and learning. Hold weekly virtual office hours to provide individual or group consultation and academic support. Submit final grades in accordance with applicable academic policies and the online program calendar. Complete end-of-semester feedback and reflection requirements and contribute to continuous improvement of the online learning experience. Requirements Successful completion of a terminal degree in counselor education or a related field, or qualifications meeting the applicable faculty qualification standards for alternative methods of faculty qualification. Online university teaching experience in counseling, counselor education, or a related discipline is preferred. Demonstrated expertise in one or more relevant areas, including Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Military and Veteran Counseling, School Counseling, or Research and Assessment Methods. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage students effectively in a fully online learning environment. Ability to provide clear, timely, and constructive feedback while managing grading and student inquiries within established deadlines. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to independently manage course responsibilities throughout an academic term. Commitment to student engagement, academic quality, professionalism, and responsive communication.
