Account Manager, Embedded Security & Intelligence Programs

Accountabilities:: Partner with recruiting teams to identify, screen, and place high-quality embedded security and intelligence professionals in client programs. Manage the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding, including timecards, expense reports, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans. Conduct regular check-ins with embedded employees to monitor performance, job satisfaction, well-being, and development needs. Provide mentorship and guidance to security and intelligence professionals, helping them address challenges encountered at client sites. Advocate for employee needs and escalate sensitive matters to HR or management when appropriate. Serve as the primary relationship manager between the organization and client managers overseeing embedded personnel. Maintain strong client relationships and proactively address concerns to support client satisfaction and successful talent performance. Coordinate with clients on security training requirements, certifications, protocols, and emerging threats. Maintain awareness of physical security priorities, best practices, and operational procedures relevant to corporate and protective environments. Collaborate with HR and internal teams to ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and legal requirements. Support program leadership with program planning, needs identification, operational improvements, and new business proposals. Facilitate communication between employees, clients, and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment on program objectives. Assist with developing client-facing security reports, standard operating procedures, and operational guidelines. Contribute to training initiatives and team improvements in collaboration with internal security and intelligence subject matter experts. Requirements: 10+ years of experience in law enforcement, military, physical security, or a closely related security field. At least 5 years of supervisory or people-management experience. Professional experience within the security industry and practical experience with intelligence analysis. Strong understanding of physical security frameworks, organizational structures, and operational environments across corporate or protective settings. Demonstrated ability to manage employees working within client organizations, with embedded consulting, managed services, or staffing experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, clients, and senior stakeholders. Excellent professional judgment, decision-making, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive employee and client matters with discretion and professionalism. Proficiency with Google Workspace and Monday.com, with the ability to learn new software and web-based tools quickly. Familiarity with physical security systems and platforms such as access control, surveillance, and incident management tools is preferred. Familiarity with human resources practices is a plus. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented, and continuously changing environment. Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer visa sponsorship. Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including client meetings and operational sites. Benefits: $120,000–$130,000 annual salary for the Washington, DC pay range.
