Sales Account Manager - German speaking

About the role

As a Merchant Consultant Representative, you’ll focus on building and maintaining relationships with Groupon’s local business partners in the German market.
You’ll be the key point of contact for merchants — helping them optimize their live deals, re-engage with Groupon, and grow their business through smart, data-driven recommendations.
You’ll also have the opportunity to sign new merchants and bring fresh, exciting businesses onto the platform.

Your success will come from a mix of sales energy, relationship management, and curiosity about local businesses. You’ll learn how different merchants operate, what drives their success, and how Groupon can help them reach more customers.

Grow and strengthen Groupon’s community of local merchants by managing existing partnerships and re-engaging inactive ones that create value for both merchants and customers.

What You’ll Do

• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing merchants across categories such as Beauty & Wellness, Food & Drink, Leisure, Services, Tickets & Live Entertainment. 
• Re-engage former or inactive merchants through outreach, identifying opportunities to renew or relaunch deals.
• Optimize live campaigns by analyzing deal performance, suggesting improvements, and maximizing both merchant satisfaction and Groupon profitability.
• Understand each merchant’s business—their audience, competition, and goals—to propose tailored and realistic solutions.
• Problem-solve and support merchants with questions or issues related to their campaigns, ensuring a positive experience.
• Achieve or exceed monthly targets for revenue, deal renewals, and merchant satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and opportunities in CRM.

What You Bring

• 1-3 years experience in sales, account management, or customer-facing roles — ideally within e-commerce, retail, or local business environments.
• Fluency in both English and German, other languages are a plus
• Proficient in using leading AI tools (like Claude and Gemini) to drive efficiency.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently with attention to detail and
• Results-driven individual who thrives on moving the needle.
• Comfortable working with sales KPIs and basic data analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools is a plus.
• Prior experience in upselling, reselling, or cold calling is an advantage.

This is a Hybrid role from Valencia.
