M9 Solutions is hiring a Recruiter / Sales Account Manager to join our Corporate team. This is a hybrid role based at our Tysons, VA headquarters.
Are you a federal IT recruiter who's great at finding talent, and wants to be the one who wins the business, not just fills it? M9 Solutions is looking for an Account Manager who will use a recruiting background to build and grow relationships with our partners.
M9 supports large federal prime contractors as a trusted subcontractor. You'll get to know their program and hiring managers, understand what they need, and make sure M9 delivers. Your recruiting experience is the advantage: you already know how to qualify talent, speak the language of cleared technical roles, and move quickly. We'll teach you the sales side, and you'll work closely with our BD leadership and recruiting team as you grow into a full account management role.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with hiring managers, program managers, and subcontract managers at our federal prime contractor partners.
- Take requirements directly from clients: clarify the skills, clearance levels, rates, and timelines behind each opening.
- Partner with M9's recruiting team to prioritize and deliver qualified candidates.
- Qualify and present candidates to clients, manage interview feedback, and help close offers.
- Find new openings, programs, and contacts within existing accounts to grow M9's footprint.
- Generate and follow up on new leads, including leads from your candidate and industry network.
- Track account activity, pipeline, and placements in our CRM and ATS.
- Meet activity and revenue goals, and learn federal pricing, rates, and subcontracting basics along the way.
- Stay in touch with placed consultants so they have a great experience and M9 gets repeat business.
- 2+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally in federal IT or government contracting staffing.
- Experience recruiting cleared technical professionals (Public Trust, Secret, TS/SCI) in areas like Cloud, Cyber, ERP/BI, Software Development, or Mission IT.
- Experience working directly with hiring managers or clients, not just candidates.
- A real interest in moving into sales and account management.
- Confident, polished communication by phone, email, and in person.
- Self-motivated and competitive, with a sense of urgency and the discipline to follow up consistently.
- Comfortable with an ATS, a CRM, and MS Office.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in a full-desk or 360 recruiting role.
- Familiarity with how primes and subcontractors work together on federal programs.
- An existing network in the Northern Virginia GovCon community.
- A clear path from recruiting into account management and business development, with direct mentorship from M9's sales leadership.
- Base salary plus commission tied to account growth and placements.
