We operate in the enterprise segment, serving nonprofit organizations across North America, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Europe.

We’re building a large and complex product ecosystem that serves nonprofits, donors, and partners around the world. The platform includes a modern checkout experience and customizable widgets (each a standalone SPA), donor, organization, and partner portals, admin tools, and several internal apps.

The Team

We are a distributed team of 160+ product professionals, including 80+ engineers. Our team members are mainly based across Spain, Poland, Portugal, Georgia, Armenia, Serbia, Turkey, and Cyprus. Many of our developers bring 5 - 10+ years of experience, and we foster a culture of deep technical curiosity and knowledge sharing.

About the Role

We are looking for a Product Writer to join the Documentation team and take ownership of the customer-facing documentation set: the articles each release demands, the live articles already published, and the older content that drifts out of date over time.

This is a high-ownership role. Product behavior comes from a Russian-speaking product team, and the customer reads it in English, written to the Fundraise Up standard. You'll go to the source, find out how the product actually works, and write it up so a customer can act on it — not just describe a feature, but make sure nothing is left unclear.

You won't be handed a finished playbook. You'll help write it, working closely with the Manager, Product Documentation as you build toward full autonomy.

What You’ll Own

• Release documentation — every customer-facing release article, published and live on the date the release ships, with no lag between release and publication
• Accuracy — what you publish is confirmed against the product and the platform, not against a spec or a guess
• The feedback queue — live articles stay correct; feedback comes in, you triage and fix
• The freshness cycle — a growing share of the back catalog, restructured, rewritten, and brought current as your release load allows
• Media — screenshots, screen recordings, and short walkthroughs that go with release work

What You’ll Do

• Turn a feature spec into a published article that goes live the day the release does
• Work directly with the Russian-speaking product team to find out how the product behaves, then write it in English to the Fundraise Up voice and structure — ask the follow-up questions the spec doesn't answer
• Start from an AI draft and do the real work: check each claim against the product, find where the draft doesn't hold up, and edit until no open questions remain
• Own incoming feedback on live docs — read the report, find the real problem, fix the article, close it out
• Refactor older content that no longer meets the standard, as release work allows
• Produce and keep current the screenshots, screen recordings, and short walkthroughs a release needs
• Collaborate with English-speaking colleagues across various departments to identify gaps in the current documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience writing technical or product documentation, or tech content
• Proven ability to own documentation end-to-end — you take responsibility for accuracy and clarity, not just for turning in a draft
• Near-native written English (C1/C2): clean, precise prose and a consistent voice across a large set of articles
• Working Russian: enough to source product behavior directly from a Russian-speaking team and press for the detail that's missing, not just translate what you're handed
• Comfortable with technical material: most of our documentation is non-technical, but some isn't — you can read a tech spec, follow basic API behavior, and write about it accurately
• Comfortable producing video: you can record, edit, and ship a clear screen-recorded walkthrough, not just write about one
• Self-sufficiency: you apply a standard without hand-holding and improve older work to meet it
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where context shifts release to release and priorities can change day to day

Nice To Have

• Deeper experience with REST APIs and developer-facing documentation
• Background in editing — leading or contributing to an editorial process
• Experience in product marketing or UX writing
• Experience working in a bilingual (Russian/English) product or engineering organization

Compensation

• The compensation range for this role is €2,500 - €3,000 gross per month.
• Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, alignment with the role’s requirements and location.
