About In-Person Giving at Fundraise Up

In-Person Giving brings the quality and connected data of Fundraise Up’s online donation experience into physical fundraising moments.

The product begins with Tap to Donate and Giving Station: staff-led and self-service experiences that let nonprofits accept contactless donations at events, in public spaces, and through other offline workflows. Every transaction should connect to the same campaigns, donor records, reporting, CRM integrations, and operational controls used across Fundraise Up.

The next product direction is Events & Commerce. It includes ticket sales, check-in, merchandise and food purchases, symbolic purchases, auctions, paddle raises, and additional donations before and during an event. These capabilities must work as one connected fundraising system rather than another isolated event tool.

About the Role

We are hiring a Product Manager to own Events & Commerce within the broader In-Person Giving product line.

This is a hands-on software product role covering discovery, definition, delivery, launch, and iteration. You will turn a large category into a focused product direction grounded in customer workflows, live usage, and commercial evidence.

You will work closely with the PM responsible for the broader In-Person Giving area so that event commerce builds on the same payment, campaign, donor-data, reporting, mobile, and operational foundations as Tap to Donate and Giving Station. You will also partner with the Peer-to-Peer team where ticketing and event capabilities should be shared rather than rebuilt separately.

This is not an event-planning, sales, or internal project-coordination role.

What You’ll Own

Define the product direction

• Turn customer research, market evidence, and business context into a clear Events & Commerce product thesis and sequenced roadmap.
• Choose a focused target segment and event scenario rather than trying to replace every event platform at once.
• Decide which capabilities belong in the shared In-Person Giving foundation and which require an Events-specific model.
• Make explicit decisions about what Fundraise Up should build, integrate, partner on, or deliberately exclude.
• Keep assumptions, success metrics, scope, risks, and product decisions visible.

Lead discovery and product definition

• Work directly with nonprofit fundraising teams, event operators, finance teams, volunteers, attendees, donors, design partners, and internal GTM teams.
• Map the complete workflow before, during, and after an event—including purchase, donation, check-in, fulfillment, reconciliation, reporting, and follow-up.
• Validate decisions through interviews, workflow observation, prototypes, and live product usage.
• Separate true adoption blockers from feature requests and expectations created by incumbent event platforms.
• Shape problems such as ticket sales, QR-based check-in, guest management, commerce catalogues, FMV and receipts, on-site purchases, auctions, paddle raises, refunds, attribution, reporting, and integrations. These are examples—not a pre-committed feature checklist.

Shape and deliver the product

• Own the product from problem definition through requirements, delivery, launch, and iteration.
• Write clear requirements, acceptance criteria, edge cases, state transitions, and decision records.
• Make day-to-day scope and trade-off decisions with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Research, QA, and GTM partners.
• Design for real event conditions: staff and volunteer operators, self-service flows, mobile devices, optional hardware, unreliable connectivity, high-volume moments, and operational recovery.
• Ensure that event capabilities reuse Fundraise Up’s existing payments, campaign, donor, reporting, CRM, and identity infrastructure wherever possible.
• Keep delivery predictable by surfacing dependencies, risks, and unresolved decisions early.

Launch, learn, and drive outcomes

• Launch through EAPs with clear entry criteria, target workflows, success measures, readiness requirements, and out-of-scope areas.
• Understand whether organizations can configure and run the target event workflows without heavy manual work or disconnected tools.
• Measure whether attendees can purchase, check in, donate, and receive the right confirmation or receipt through a clear experience.
• Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, CSM, Support, Finance, Legal, and Operations on positioning, commitments, enablement, and launch readiness.
• Connect product evidence to activation, adoption, event completion, GPV, expansion, pipeline, retention, and operational cost.
• Turn evidence into explicit recommendations: iterate, expand, change direction, partner, or stop.

Work AI-native

• Use AI for research synthesis, workflow analysis, prototyping, specification quality, data exploration, and operational automation.
• Build testable artifacts quickly without outsourcing product judgment.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of Product Management or Product Ownership experience in a software product company.
• End-to-end ownership of a customer-facing product area with Engineering and Design.
• Strong judgment in reducing a large problem space to a focused release and explaining the trade-offs.
• Experience turning customer evidence and product data into decisions.
• Clear written communication across requirements, edge cases, metrics, and decision records.
• Ability to work with transactional, multi-actor workflows involving permissions, states, money, and data relationships.
• High ownership and independence, with fluent written and spoken English.

Strong plus

• Experience with ticketing, event technology, commerce, POS, payments, marketplaces, registration, auctions, or other transaction-heavy products.
• Experience with mobile applications, contactless payments, physical devices, or hardware-enabled workflows.
• Experience with B2B SaaS, fundraising, nonprofits, or other operationally complex customer environments.
• Experience launching a new product area through beta or EAP.
• Knowledge of CRM integrations, financial reconciliation, reporting, transaction attribution, analytics, or SQL.
• Practical use of AI for research, prototyping, analysis, or product operations.

• You are looking for an event-planning or internal project-management role rather than software product ownership.
• You prefer to receive a fully defined roadmap and requirements instead of helping determine what should be built.
• You want to work only on strategy and avoid specifications, QA, delivery details, or post-launch iteration.
• You treat every customer request as a roadmap commitment.
• You need stable scope and certainty before moving forward.
• You measure progress mainly by features shipped rather than customer and business outcomes.

Compensation

• The compensation range for this role is €5,600 - €6,100 gross.
• Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, alignment with the role’s requirements and location.
