The Role

As a People Operations Specialist, you'll be part of the team responsible for keeping the day-to-day People experience running smoothly. You'll support employees and managers across a range of People processes and questions, from employee lifecycle changes and documentation to policies, systems, and general People support.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable handling a high volume of requests, but who doesn't just want to work through a queue. You'll connect the dots, spot recurring issues, improve documentation, and look for opportunities to use technology, automation, and AI to make things easier for employees and the People team.

You'll also help us evolve how employees access People support, including helping to build and improve our internal employee support platform, including workflows, knowledge content, request routing, and self-service. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technology, and making processes work better.

Key focus areas include:

• Providing timely, thoughtful support to employees and managers across a wide range of People questions and requests.
• Managing employee lifecycle processes and documentation, including onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and other People Operations activities.
• Supporting People Operations across our Balkans locations, ensuring employee documentation and processes are completed accurately and on time.
• Improving the employee support experience through better workflows, documentation, and self-service.
• Managing a high volume of employee requests while identifying recurring themes and opportunities to improve or automate the underlying process.
• Creating and maintaining clear documentation, knowledge articles, and process guides that make it easier for employees and managers to find what they need.
• Partnering with teammates across People, Payroll, Finance, IT, and other functions to resolve issues and deliver a seamless employee experience.
• Maintaining accurate employee data and supporting regular audits across our People systems.
• Using data and feedback to identify trends, understand where employees need support, and recommend improvements.
• Exploring how AI, automation, and new technology can reduce manual work and improve the People experience.

The Team

The People Operations team is responsible for the systems, processes, and support that help Slice employees thrive. You'll work closely with teammates across People Operations and partner regularly with People Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, IT, and the wider People team.

The Winning Recipe

• 2+ years of experience in People Operations, HR Operations, employee support, or a similar role.
• Experience supporting employees across day-to-day People processes and employee lifecycle activities.
• Strong customer service mindset - you enjoy solving problems and making things easier for the people you support.
• Comfortable managing a high volume of requests while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
• Tech-forward and naturally curious about how systems, automation, and AI can improve the way work gets done.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to connect the dots, identify recurring issues, and suggest practical improvements.
• Comfortable learning and working across multiple systems and tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create documentation that's actually useful.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.
• Comfortable working with employee data and maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Nice to Have

• Experience with HRIS, ticketing, or employee service platforms.
• Experience building workflows, knowledge bases, or employee self-service solutions.
• Experience supporting People Operations in North Macedonia, Kosovo, or elsewhere in the Balkans.
• Comfortable working with data and using it to identify trends or make recommendations.
• Experience with process automation or AI tools.
• Experience supporting globally distributed teams.
