Paid Media Manager

About the Role

Scorpion is looking for a Paid Media Manager to lead paid media strategy and execution across our B2B marketing programs. You’ll manage our paid channel mix with a focus on generating qualified pipeline and revenue.

Paid Search is the largest and most complex part of this role. You’ll lead strategy and hands-on execution across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Google Demand Gen while also managing Paid Social, Display, CTV, and emerging advertising channels.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role. You’ll work directly in advertising platforms and performance data, making decisions about budgets, bidding, audiences, campaign structure, testing, and optimization. You’ll also connect paid media performance to MQLs, opportunities, pipeline, and revenue and turn that data into clear insights and recommendations for marketing leadership.

You’ll report to the Senior Director of Demand Generation and partner closely with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Vertical Marketing, SEO, Marketing Operations, and ABM to ensure paid media investments support Scorpion’s broader pipeline and revenue goals.

What Your Success Will Look Like

• Lead strategy and hands-on execution for Paid Search and Google Demand Gen campaigns, including campaign structure, bidding, targeting, budgets, testing, and optimization. 
• Manage paid media across LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, Display, CTV, and other relevant channels. 
• Allocate and manage a substantial, multi-vertical paid media budget based on performance, business priorities, and opportunities for growth. 
• Monitor campaign performance and continuously test creative, audiences, targeting, bidding strategies, and channel mix to improve results. 
• Measure paid media performance against MQLs, opportunities, pipeline influenced, revenue, and return on investment. 
• Build reporting and communicate performance, insights, and recommendations to marketing leadership and cross-functional partners. 
• Evaluate and pilot emerging advertising opportunities, including AI-driven advertising channels, and scale programs that demonstrate results. 
• Manage relationships with advertising platforms, agencies, and other paid media partners. 
• Partner across Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Vertical Marketing, ABM, and other marketing teams to align paid media strategy with business priorities. 
• Provide direction and quality assurance for campaign builds, trafficking, tracking, and other execution support provided by the Marketing Coordinator.

Who You Are And What You Bring

• Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in paid media or digital advertising, with significant hands-on experience managing B2B Paid Search. 
  • Experience managing Google Ads and Google Demand Gen campaigns at scale. 
  • Experience managing paid campaigns across channels such as LinkedIn, Meta, TikTok, Display, and CTV. 
  • Experience managing substantial paid media budgets with accountability for performance and ROI. 
  • Experience working with advertising platform representatives, agencies, or other external partners.

• Skills
  • Deep knowledge of Paid Search strategy, including campaign structure, bidding, targeting, optimization, and budget allocation.
  • Proficiency with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and advertising-platform reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of B2B buying cycles and how paid media contributes to lead generation, opportunities, pipeline, and revenue.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and turn it into clear insights and actionable recommendations for leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to evaluate, test, and optimize new advertising platforms and emerging paid media opportunities.

Compensation  

We acknowledge that states have passed legislation promoting pay transparency. As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.

• The base salary range is $110,000 (entry-level) - $135,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. 
• The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses or commissions.
