Manager, B2B Event Marketing

The Opportunity 

The B2B Event Marketing team is looking for a strategic and results-driven Marketing Manager to own and scale this channel. Events are strategic levers for growth, activation, and relationship building. 

This is not a logistics-led role. While operational execution is a critical component, this position sits at the intersection of strategy and execution: shaping how events drive measurable business impact at scale through strategic planning, stakeholder orchestration, and scalable frameworks that elevate events into a measurable business growth engine. 

We are looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds clarity through frameworks, leads complex cross-functional initiatives with discipline and influence, and earns strong stakeholder trust and executive confidence. 

Experience in events marketing is a plus and something we'd love to see, but it is not a requirement. Traditional event production experience is not a prerequisite either. Backgrounds in consulting, strategy, or PMO are equally valued, and we strongly encourage those candidates to apply. What matters most is how you think, structure problems, and drive commercial outcomes. 

As a key player in the marketing and sales ecosystem, you will work closely with regional sales and business development teams to ensure events align with business priorities, support business objectives, and contribute directly to revenue goals. You'll be responsible for end-to-end event management. 

Key Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Business Integration

• Translate commercial priorities into event strategies with clear business cases 

• Develop annual roadmaps aligned to growth objectives 

• Define success metrics beyond attendance (pipeline impact, activation, ROI, incrementality) 

• Create scalable playbooks and operating models

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with Business Development, Sales, Supply, PR, Content, Branding, and Senior Leadership 

• Align diverse stakeholders with competing priorities 

• Drive structured working sessions and executive updates 

• Influence without direct authority in a matrix organization

Program & Project Governance

• Lead large, multi-workstream initiatives end-to-end 

• Build detailed project plans with risk mitigation and milestone tracking 

• Establish governance cadence and reporting mechanisms 

• Ensure disciplined execution across markets and teams

Performance Measurement & Optimization

• Build measurement frameworks and post-event impact analysis 

• Identify key performance levers and iterate based on data 

• Develop dashboards to track ROI and business outcomes 
• Introduce test-and-learn approaches to improve effectiveness 

Requirements 

We are intentionally looking beyond traditional event planners. Experience in events or field marketing is welcome and will be viewed positively, but it is not essential. You may come from: 

• Events, field, or B2B marketing (a plus, not a must)  

• Management consulting 

• Strategy or business transformation teams 

• PMO or complex program leadership roles 

• Business operations in high-growth environments 

You likely demonstrate 8-12 years of experience:

• Experience working with senior leadership 

• Comfortable navigating high-visibility, high-complexity environments

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives 

• Strong attention to detail without losing strategic altitude 

Business Orientation 

• Understands P&L drivers and growth mechanics 

• Makes data-informed decisions
