About the Opportunity
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the function and the team. Set the strategy, standards and methodology for internal investigations globally. Own intake, triage and prioritization. Manage and develop a team of investigators that includes former agents.
- Run investigations. Direct investigations from allegations through findings, including interview strategy, subject and witness interviews, digital forensics and financial tracing. Personally lead the most complex and sensitive matters.
- Build cases to a prosecutorial standard. Own OKX's framework for deciding which matters warrant escalation to authorities and in which jurisdiction. Build strong cases to the evidentiary and procedural standards of that jurisdiction, and partner with the Litigation team to pursue recovery of losses.
- Manage engagement with authorities. Where matters are brought to the attention of authorities, oversee OKX's engagement through to resolution, including providing evidence, making witnesses available and responding to legal process, as appropriate.
- Own law enforcement relationships. Build and maintain relationships and networks with law enforcement and prosecutors worldwide, including federal, state and local authorities in the US, EMEA and APAC.
- Partner across the company. Work with Compliance, Risk, Finance, HR, colleagues in the Legal department, and business executives to investigate and resolve matters effectively.
- Strengthen controls and report to leadership. Translate investigative findings into control improvements that prevent recurrence. Report significant matters and trends to senior leadership.
