At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This position may be a hybrid or fully remote position, as decided by your manager. If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings. Increasingly, a business journey starts inside an AI tool, not on a website. GoDaddy’s Developer Platform helps us show up in those moments as the distribution layer for the next era of business creation.

GoDaddy is looking for a Director, Agent and Developer Platform Growth to own making GoDaddy more discoverable, recommendable, and trusted by the developers, agencies, domain investors, and AI agents crafting how businesses get started and run online. Our role sits at the intersection of agentic AI, developer marketing, content strategy, and platform partnerships.

Reporting into Growth GTM leadership and working closely with the Developer Platform product team and central marketing functions, this person will build a new growth function from the ground up. The platform launched in 2026 and is in active growth; this Director will help define what it becomes.

What you'll get to do...

• Define the function. Develop the operating model, and evaluation framework for how GoDaddy’s Developer Platform is discovered, embraced, and recommended by developers and AI systems. You will not inherit the playbook — you will build it
• Meet our customers where their journeys begin. Customers are increasingly starting inside AI tools, coding environments, and agent frameworks. Ensure GoDaddy is recommended when AI is asked to help entrepreneurs start, build, or own a business online — and that our Developer Platform makes the next step easy to take
• Own AI-agent distribution and platform partnerships. Being readable by AI systems is the baseline; being reachable means GoDaddy appears where agents already look, including connector and MCP directories across Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, and the tools that follow them. Identify partners that matter, establish relationships, and get GoDaddy into the default path for domains, hosting, and getting a business online
• Make GoDaddy readable by AI systems and useful to developers. Collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and site teams to ensure developer.godaddy.com is built for both machine and human consumption, with changelog infrastructure, llms.txt, markdown-native workflow documentation, business recipes, and integration guides that AI systems can reference and developers can act on
• Lead agent engine optimization as a core growth workstream. Build GoDaddy’s presence, citation frequency, and referral influence across AI-assisted discovery platforms, including coding assistants, agent frameworks, LLM chat environments, and emerging AI operating systems
• Own developer GTM channels. Lead the engineering blog, Discord, email newsletter, developer and AI builder community outlets, GoDaddy Pros and WD&D outreach, and social amplification. Each channel should have a clear role in driving awareness, adoption, or advocacy
• Evangelize and represent GoDaddy externally. Plan and lead customer engagement events to drive adoption. Attend external developer conferences and industry events and serve as a credible voice for GoDaddy in the developer and AI-native builder community
• Build and own the change communications system. Every platform release, breaking change, deprecation, pricing update, and landmark needs the right message for the right audience. Invest the classification framework, set the standard for how changes are communicated, and lead the channels they run through so active integrators are never surprised
• Scale the platform story. As our GoDaddy Developer Platform expands across additional product areas and use cases; grow the GTM motion with it, ensuring each expansion reaches the right audience with a clear narrative at the right time
• Drive cross-functional alignment. Partner closely with Developer Platform product and engineering teams and central marketing functions to keep GTM, product, and platform delivery moving together. Our role sits at that seam on purpose
• Measure what matters. The signals that show our platform-led growth is working, including agent citation rate, AI referral traffic from developer tools, businesses launched through the platform, multi-product provisioning completion, and attach and retention from platform-acquired customers

Your experience should include...

• 10+ years proven experience across developer marketing, technical marketing, product marketing, technical partnerships, or developer relations, ideally within a global platform, developer infrastructure, API-first, cloud, or ecosystem-led business
• Shown success building cross-functional GTM programs across product, engineering, communications, partnerships, community, events, email, social, press, and core marketing teams
• A track record of earning credibility with developers, technical practitioners, agencies, open-source communities, or platform ecosystems, including familiarity with how these audiences appraise platforms through documentation, GitHub, tutorials, community channels, and peer validation
• Experience crafting platform partnerships and ecosystem distribution, including getting products into partner workflows, marketplaces, connector directories, coding assistants, LLM chat environments, or developer plugin experiences
• Strong understanding of developer tools, AI agents, MCP integrations, agent engine optimization, LLM discovery behavior, machine-readable content, and how to translate sophisticated platform capabilities into clear narratives for developer, business, and executive audiences. Experience with legacy platforms
