Senior Backend Software Engineer

Location Details: Colombia, remote

This role is for a Senior Backend Software Engineer in Colombia who will be a founding member of a brand new Sales Intelligence team within GoDaddy.
We're building from the ground up to transform how GoDaddy does sales. Our mission: add intelligence to lead generation and assignment, and build the right tools so sales teams can focus on what matters most—bringing in new customers. This team will build greenfield solutions, optimize existing Salesforce workflows, and leverage AI to surface the right context at the right time. We believe in rolling out AI-powered features to real users, not just developing with AI tools internally. What you'll get to do...

• Design and build intelligent lead scoring, routing, and assignment systems that directly impact sales outcomes, while implementing AI/ML-powered features using LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval systems to provide contextual intelligence to sales reps.
• Develop Salesforce-based solutions (Apex, Flows, Lightning Web Components, integrations) and build backend services and APIs in Java and TypeScript that power sales tools and AI-driven capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Data Science teams to identify and deliver high-impact business opportunities.
• Own the full software lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, release, monitoring, and continuous Integration.
• Propose and drive engineering initiatives that establish the technical foundation for a new team, while helping define team practices, mentoring future hires, and shaping the engineering culture.

You might also have...

• Prior experience building sales tools, CRM integrations, or revenue operations systems
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical experience using LLMs in production (prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling)
• Experience with lead scoring, sales analytics, or marketing automation platforms
• Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Background in event-driven architecture or real-time data processing
